Angry beat by a 4 door tundra?!?!?!? WTF?!?! how?

ok heres how it went down. i was sitting at the red light. and this tundra started to nose up. i didnt think anything of it. turned green i go about half throttle and i hear him floor it. so i floor it. i had traction the whole time but stayed right by his rear axle. how it this possible. i know i'm completely stock but its a lightning. and i just dont understand. this is the condition of my truck...107,000 miles. just had an oil change, new plugs, newly cleaned t/b,s/c,i/c. putting in a new fuel pump tomorrow. i just dont understand. any ideas on things to finish up with the tune up. cause this cant happen again.

The tundras make 381/401 stock....if you have a 99-00 L they put out 360 plus you have quite a few miles.... get a 4# lower, filter, and a tune from a reputable tuner and youre in the 12s.

Maybe he was a better driver or he just got the roll on you.

I am waiting to find one of those here in the UK - so I can go blow his doors off.......

SRT's are fun here, they just cannot grip and while there faffing about
my truck is long gone......

I have never understood this excuse. Straight line, Automatic, Floor it, where does the better driver part come in?

My theory is during extreme experiences of stress, superhuman strength will kick in and more than likely this is what happened. Now I'm not saying you're ugly maybe just pitiful ugly. The other driver probably glanced over and you scared the bejesus out of him and you just got blown away by adrenalin.

Next time race him with a bag over your head.

At introduction, Toyota sent a memo to all their dealers that they can beat a stock Lightning. Every salesman tells their customers that they can smoke a Lightning. A Tundra will smoke the 400+hp Silverado so its not about horsepower. The Tundra has a very advanced intake system and a very efficient 6 speed.

Manufacturer data on the 4X4 4 door is 0-60 in 6.11. A stock Lightning is 5.8as per Ford brochure.

I wonder what a 2 door 4X2 will run. Might need a bigger pulley and race tune to keep up.

Oh hell go the whole hog and put two paper bags over your head.
And cut an eye hole in the rear too - just in case he sneaks up from behind.

As in better driver - I meant...
he may have caught you out off guard.
loaded up the TC a bit more...

Or just thought 'I'm gonna have that 'L' at the lights.....
