Ya Ya...Whatever - My First Car Was A....
'76 4-speed Vette. I lifted alot of refrigerators at Sears to pay it off. I paid everything too. Gas, insurance, etc. Sadly, after owning it 16 years, I sold this car to buy the L. Happily, it has a good home. A pretty, blonde nurse bought it to keep company with her black '95 Vette in the garage.

1969 Ford Bronco 170 six, 3 on the tree, vacuum wipers, and lots of rust.It was a fun truck it was unstoppable, and never got stuck. I made it up hills that allmost no other trucks would make.I have been a Ford Fan ever since.

A 68 T-bird landau, Thuder chicken yellow with black top & interior. Bought it because I wanted a 429 engine. The pwer window wires were all cut, & the air didn't work. I didn't care about the lack of an exhaust system either. I had a clean looking, fast big block car for $200! I found out years later that it had Cobra Jet valve covers on it, Maybe it was a CJ engine too! I'll never know. Lloyd

first car was a mint (not that is was anything special) 85 camaro z28. it was really nice for then. it was red with gray trim, and gray cloth interior. everything worked, including air. t-tops and all. i didnt want it though. i had my heart set on getting mustang 5liter. i wanted anywhere from an 87-93. this was back in 92 when i got the z28. my parents wouldnt let me get a mustang as a first car cause they knew that they were very fast cars. so anyway, i kept the 85 z for 6 MONTHS!! LOL LOL i couldnt stand it. i finally convinced my parensts on a 5.0 so we sold the camaro. next up was a 1990 mustang lx 5.0l 5 spd. bright red, gray cloth and sunroof. absolutely mint! i added a short throw shifter, flowmaster exhaust and it already had 355 gears in it. it was a really quick car, especially after driving that 85 z around. kept the stang for about a year and a half and sold it. then i started really saving money and didnt buy anything until i had enough to buy what i wanted and be able to pay it all off. i hated the thought of having car payments..... so in april 1998, i found exactly what i wanted, 97 red SS camaro 6 spd. bought it, paid for it in full, and now i have had it about 3 years. that is where i stand right now. so i went from camaro to mustang, back to camaro. what should be next guys??? later all, Mike P.S. sorry for long post, that was way longer than i expected to write : )

Yeah 1RedDevil!!!
First car was a 1937 Chevvie purchased by three 15 year olds. Got it running but never registered and my Dad had it sent to the junk yard. We got it for free.
Car #2 but really #1 as it was registered and used for 6 months was a 1938 Olds Business Coupe. Flathead 6 with a rod knock and a shift lever that would do justice to a modern Kenworth truck. Used about as much oil as it did gas, but back then recycled oil cost 5 cents a gallon (gas was 19 cents a gallon on the Marine Base where I lived).
I paid $15 for it and drove it for 6 months never over 45 MPH. The rod noise was just awful. One day, the rod just let go and Dad had it towed off again.
OK, I am cheating. First real car that was a real driver was a 1951 Mercury 4 door sedan that was purchased for $750 in l956 with less than 30k miles. Drove that mother to almost 100k miles with an awful lot of those miles street racing and strip racing.
Got $100 trade in on a 1959 Fiat 600 leftover in 1960, my first ever new car.
Dear God, I wish I had any one or all of them now. So many memories.

68 Camaro RS with a 327 and power glide transmision (thats a two speed automatic). The car was loads of fun, not to bad to work on, and was always running. Today My L is sitting at the Ford dealer, it keeps blowing the mufflers off. It will be down for two days waiting for a new muffler. I bought my first car for $1,500 and sold it 40,000 miles latter with 100,000 plus miles on it for $2,000. It looked sharp and I wish I still had it today.
It was ten years old when I got my 1963 Falcon Sprint Special. Red and chrome with the 260 cid / 260 horse power. 4 speed tranny. 5 bolt, 13" wheels w/ factory spinner covers.
Bought this car with 21000 miles for $300 bucks.
I wish I still owned this rarity!!
