A week and a half with no clue on the backorder. I WANT MY TRUCK BACK!!!!!!

It's been two weeks today since they ordered mine and Jerrod's intercoolers, not in yet. I'm sure glad mine doesn't leak much.

Talked with Matt at SVT about intercoolers and he called ford parts and supposedly they are shipping 30 intercoolers to various dealerships this week. I can only assume that none of these is for stock and I do not know if this removes all backorders. They did not admit to any backorders.

I called the service rep at the dealer today and she said there was still no word on the backorders. To me this means, it will be at least Monday before ther is a chance of getting my baby back (I dropped it off on May 1).

Waiting for the Dealer to get some dye.....

 

I just took my truck in to service for this intercooler leak. Mine is lossing about a pint every week or so. My truck only has 8300 miles. I first noticed it at about 6500 miles. The service guy had no clue about this problem, and didn't realy want to hear about it from me! What could I possibly know I'm just a customer, and I'm not one of the many rocket sceintist that they employe as tech's I'm really only and engineer for the largest car company in the word! I can't wait to see what they come up with!

Well they ordered the parts...Emergency as they were told by the Windsor plant SVT dude...Intercooler,all the cats,O2 sensors some new plugs..gaskets..think that was it.
Every thing but the intercoller is in.Ordered 1 week ago. 31000 miles now.
I asked for a new engine...laugh...shrug ..what can I say..they said No..of course. Maybe I should have asked for the blower and intake manifold .....Anyone have any new data on this problem...

I was told today that it will be another week on the gaskets to the dealers. They have had my truck for 1 MONTH waiting on various backordered parts.

 

Hi all,
This topic pisses me off. I have updated my service manage, and department to "watch" for any problems with the intercooler. I have given them the list from the topic (Dealer Service Shop), which you will see floating around every now and then. I suggest you all do what I did, and copy the links from that post *Dealer Service*, and hand it over as It's updated.

This dealerships, and service departments need to be aware of "all our" problems, not just "one" single issue. This is wide spread, and even I am checking my motor almost daily.

 

I got a voice mail from my service writer last night. He said talked to SVT, and thy told him to just go ahead and order a new intercooler. I have know idea how long it's going to take to get the part in. We'll see!

brought my L in for I /C leaak at 16000,they couldnt find leak ,lost about 1 pint a wk,I had them call SVT,they told dealer to replace I/C,so far so good,SVT said it is on backorder,hmmm, mods ,chip,filter and flowmasters,filed a complaint with nhtsb1 month ago ,my dealer was told by svt that they are modifying the I/C ill keep everyone posted when it comes in
