Trust me, you will miss it....

Since the L I have been through many cars.... I would buy another one in a minute if the price was right and it was clean.

P.S. I'm going to Norwalk, are you?

Your friend (with or without a Lightning),

Lightning Bob

Ya allways smokin good stuff

Not sure about Norwalk yet.

I think I am going to hold on to the Lightning for a bit longer. Infact I might get a 2nd one, rebuild it, sell it to pay for some new mods on mine.

Talking

I just bought a 2nd Lightning, or I should say I bought a truck I used to own a 2nd time. I am sending it to JDM to have the engine rebuilt, then sell it. That will fund a freshening up of the engine in my truck, so it looks like I am keeping my Lightning for a few more years.

Attention Grabber
Admit it you were NEVER even thinking bout selling the L, instead you came to realize you dont stand a chance out there against todays ET's. You just cant deal with the fact WE'RE ALL FASTER THAN YOU DON CAN YOU

Hmm lets see....
send one in for an engine, and then send another in for an engine and upgrades, yep it does look like you'll be keeping it a few more years

Best of Luck Don
I hate to see Charter Members go away, especially ones I've become friends with and have had the pleasures of hanging out with numerous times.
AND ESPECIALLY ONE THAT AFTER FOLLOWING HOME HOURS AND HOURS AND STARING AT YOUR LIGHTNING FROM THE SEAT OF MY PROCHARGED STANG CAUSED ME TO GO OUT THE "NEXT DAY" AND BUY ANOTHER LIGHTNING, AND THEN ANOTHER (it's all your fault Don....)

Home schooling for jr's college and retirement at Dons house - - - : o()hehehehe

Glad to hear you are keeping it after all. Yours was one of the reasons I got into modding my truck. I remember seeing it along with Vinnie's at Englishtown in 2003. Such clean trucks, truly representing the best of combinations for street going trucks.
The combination of streeability, performance, looks, and attentioin to detail, led me to add some mods to mine(programmer, pulley, FTVB,cat back and intake). I got the bug!
Later, after more days spent at the track with people like Don, I decided to get serious about performance. These conversations led me to JDM, where I saw 10 sec street trucks being built with great regularity. Glad I met Don, and very happy he is staying in the game. Mine is still being modded at this time, and I hope I never think about making a post like this one.

Wasnt it magic in those early years
All the Lightning's driving to Cecil together (more fun than racing sometimes)
Watching people run 12's for the first time, Gators first 11, V's first 10, Don's 10, and and and .... I made some lifetime friends in those early years and I owe it all the the Lightning. Plus other than the upcoming Challenger I see nothing else I want for a modern day performance vehicle.

Jim you were suppose to have it back by Spring to make the March DelValLO date, what the hells going on ??? ( I assumed you had it back by now )
I know what your having done what the hell could it take a few days if that ??? Man this must be killing you
