Someone shoot me, I am thinking the unthinkable
Don,
When the fun is gone it's time to move on. I hated selling my 00. I had it a little over 3 years which is the longest I have ever owned a vehicle. I moved on several times since then. Do what puts a smile on your face. There are many ways to get your speed fix taken care of without having tons of $$ sitting idle. My current speed fix is being fulfilled by bikes and shifter-karts. Having a blast and they don't take up much space. Do I miss my L? Occasionally when I see another one on the road. Currently the only thing that makes me smile like the L did is the new ZO6. Seeing how that is not in my current budget I make do with the bikes. Selling mine started out exactly like you are right now. Thinking hard about it, weighing the pros&cons, etc. Start by putting it up for sdale with a big price. If it goes great if not no big deal. If the bug to sells starts to bite harder drop the price and move it.

I am thinking of buying a grabber orange Mustang GT with a automatic, then throw on a Saleen Blower, and make it look like this

could make a great little bracket racer
And would look cool next to the bronco

A dealer near my house has that vary car sitting in their front row. I see it every morning on the way to work. I am still waiting for the GT500 to get reasonable.

I had a P/U all my life other than just a couple of years, when I thought a fast car, or a uncomfortable car, (meaning I thought the car I bought was).
And guess what, I went back to a truck.
I'm a P/U man that runs like a fast car. He He... best of both Worlds, and it's not that uncomfortable either. Pay the L off, get another vehicle like Rob and I, and you get both, performance truck and performance comfortabilaty and class. Wooo hooo

Don,
If you don't drive it sell it! I had my 01 for 4 years and it almost brought tears to my eyes when I sold it. A year and a half later, I bought an 04 kept it for 3 months and sold it, just not the same. Bought an 06 M5 in january of this year and I really love it, the best of bost worlds. The M5 is black, and it really looks good sitting next to the blue with white stripes gt500 I brought home last friday. The saleman asked if I was going to take it home and park it in the garage, and I told him I was going to mod it and drive it almost every day. Bottom line if you don't drive it, you probably won't miss it.
Good Luck with whatever you decide!!!

Spoke to him last night...
"Something" might be in the works....
I just bought an 02 Lightning from the dad of two kids I went to highschool with in August of '05. I love the truck to death. It's only my second car I have ever had and I highly doubt I will even think about selling it for years to come. I haven't done much to it yet with the exception of an AIRAID intake and Magnaflow Exhaust, but I just love knowing that I can still do upgrades to get alot more HP before having to get bigger pistons and rods in order not to blow the engine.
As others have said as well. I just look at mine sometimes for extended periods of time in absolute awe because these trucks are so amazing.
I wouldn't sell it.

I have had mine going on 7 years now. I sue to go through cars every 2 years, but I still love it. Yeah there are days I would love a Shelby GT500, but then I think, what if I need to pickup something from Menards. The Shelby isn't gonna do it. So I sighh and move on.

It is a shame it sits under a cover 90% of the time.
I haven't made a decision or what I would want for it, but it looks like it might be time for me to move on.

Don, They have that Parnelli Jones Saleen sitting at Miller Ford in Fairfield CT. as we speak, nice ride, limited run, 60K, not for me. What I want when it arrives is the KR500 but a 100K mustang is out of the question, the GT500 with a blower, exhaust, air kit and a solid tune makes 750HP thats whats looking good to me, but I'm not paying the 5K premiums now avilable, get me one at a grand over and I'm in so I'll wait a bit longer. As for selling it, do it and never look back, will you miss it, sure sometimes but a new stang will fill the need for speed, you have "The Pimpkin" for beach trips, small loads and day to day BS, even the GT with a blower plus a few toys will make 450 HP. Go for it Don, good luck, T
