When the SRT-10's came out - they were the Lightning killers. Dodge's answer to SVT.. But, they weren't..... All that HP in a heavy *** truck that couldn't hook on those stupid rim/tires. Guys showed up in their $47K trucks and run high 13's - and we all yawned.

So you'll have to excuse us if we laugh a little bit at your expense.

It's all good I was Ford guy for a long time . I like all fast stuff ... Trucks ,cars and bikes every thing ... I am not brand loyal I really like the fit and finish of the SRT and for me it is more power then I need and it will surprise a lot of high end cars and I feel the price was great @ 34k fully loaded.
Also it depends on the driver ... we have some guys that can't drive for chit at the track getting awful times and then again we have some guy's running at sea level getting high 12's stock.
I don't see it as Ford against Dodge more like Truck against Car's

Peace your resident Dodge troll

hey i like the SRT-10 Ram, i wanted to get one used but still could not afford it, it is the only dodge truck worth talking about, or at least the only one i like, but they don't make them anymore, and SVT has hinted at a new truck in late 08
but what makes me laugh is that you can't even use it as a truck if it has no towing and a payload of 900 lbs!!!

That's exactly why the Gen3 Lightning was canned. Same issues 500hp, couldn't hook up and the engineers couldn't make it handle for the targeted price. It was probably a good move. The Gen2's would have smoked them.
