We have almost the same mods (minus my Nitrous). From a dig in a 1/4 mile race you will have him by an easy 3 car lengths. If he can't launch then the gap will widen to 5-7 car lengths. You have nothing to worry about except what to spend the free $300 bucks on. I have raced way to many SRT-10's.

You shouldn't have a problem. A SRT-10 with minor bolt-ons is no match for a filter, pulley, tuned L.

I've ran a few stock SRT's, none of them had a chance in hell.

Mods in sig.

FYI: These trucks have a Supercharger NOT a turbo!

You should have him for sure! I was at the track and there was an SRT-10 there racing... he had slicks, exhaust and I think it was a 75 shot of nitrous... he was running 12.8's with a 105-108mph trap speed. I ran my L, first time ever, 13.4 at 105mph.... old F1's and just a lower pulley, exhaust and intake. I went over to talk to him and he said he wished he had bought an L for drag racing... made me feel good.
Question? I am in a similar situation race wise, I have a guy who has a new Mercedes E63 AMG, 507hp, with supposedly a brabus ecu flash. He wants to race for a $100 for fun... claims he hasn't lost yet. My truck is gonna have a built shortblock, stock heads and cams, with a 6lb lower and tuned by Diablosport. Do I have a chance? I am being promised around 480-510rwhp, is this possible?

The Merc will beat you badly. That engine has a table flat torque curve and the car has the most advanced traction control available. They keep the tires at the maximum adhesion, so traction is optimized. That car has at least 500lbs on you. You would need 700hp and excellent driving/traction to beat that car.

Just to be on the safe side add 4 gallons of toluene (110 octane) or better still use Xeline (116 octane) (not sure on the spelling), then add about two oz per gal of mystery oil to lubricate the fluid.

With no tune or anything, it wakes my baby up, of course she has almost 90 K on the clock and most of it has been with a steady diet of the paint thinner, so she is addicted to He** on the stuff.

Do it just to get an edge!!

Well I have raced a new M5, (check video, showdown in the everglades 2) and lost with AC off one car length (one pass was with AC full blow, lost 2 lengths). The M5 is a tad quicker than the E63 and posts a higher trap speed on the quarter. Now this was with my old engine (400 rwhp, 500 rwtrq) and now im supposed to have atleast 450+rwhp and a bit more torque. stock E63 does an 12.6-12.9 on the 1/4 with a 108-110 mph. I finished with a 105 mph on the old engine. The kid has heavy 20's on his E63 and a stock E63 weighs 4100lbs, about 500 less like noted before. I'm thinking it would be pretty close.... What kind of 1/4 mile can you expect from an L with about 480rwhp with the Nitto drag radials? I might start doing more races if I beat this kid (has rich friends and he works for Unique Autosport in NY)... make some money back on what I spent on the motor. Thanks

Sounds like you've got it pretty well figured out. I wish I could help ya out more but all I can say is go smoke his ***. Maybe a small shot of juice or some cams and it should give you the edge. Also like said before let him do his burnout first and take your time doing yours.
