I do agree that the SVT badging needs to come off. It isn't going to fool anyone or make the truck seem nicer...but it will cause alot of eyes to roll as you pass by.
However, on a positive note (remembering that you really didn't ask anyone's opinion to begin with ), I like alot of the mods you've done to dress up your 150. The grill, wheels, and 2" drop are all good additions. If it were me I'd lower it some more, lose the ebay tails for some less blingy darker ones, debadge it, and color-match the chrome on the front bumper to the rest of the truck.

ok, I see what you are all saying about the badges. Smokin, I was just trying to say that you have badged your truck Roush, and no one cares, but I put SVT badges on my truck and I should be hung. Just trying to compare. Any ways, today at work I decided that I am going to buy the fender vents, and then the SVT badges will come off. When I put them on, I didnt think it would cause this kind of an uproar. I apologize if I offended anyone. Anf for the ebay tails, they are gone. Took me a bit to realize how gouwdy they were.

SVT F150's are a sacred society. Someone running around pretending to be a lightning.. or in the SVT community is blasphemy.
Unless you could rip off a low 13 second 1/4... you gonna get ragged on by most for the badges.
A low 12 second 1/4 and I'd say most would agree its "OK" to wear the badges.
Having a 16 second truck and claiming to be in the SVT family of f150s is ludacris. Just my opinion.

hmmm
im not gonna take sides on this but...i'm personally not a fan of the truck...why would you badge it anyways...it's a simple question...im not trying to be a smart a#$, just a question. For the badges you put on it, all im saying is that truck better be fast as *******.....plus all the other lightning owners and myself do pose a very good reasons and questions regarding the badging of your truck. I just don't understand. I forget who said it but another actual lightning owner said something about getting stomped by a civic...that stood out to me the most as being true and pitstain...you have one of the cleanest lightnings i've seen.

I have a customer with a 99 F-150 extended cab 2WD that had me put a Lightning motor in it. We put SVT tailgate badges on the fenders instead of Lightning badges. The truck is not a Lightning so Lightning badges wouldn't make sense. But the truck does have an SVT motor in it, so the SVT badges are a nice touch, and Lightning owners rarely get upset over it once he pops the hood.
Or course, the motor is the key to the badge legitimacy.

Sort of.
Gotta say...I hope you rethink the fender vents. That is a fad about to fade as fast as the spinners. And I think it is a Buick fad at that? Also, please try to resist any wings, window vents, bug shields, stick-on brake vents, ANY SS badges anywhere, and above all...any LED lightning on the exterior of the truck. Save the cash for the motor, sound system, and suspension. P.S. Don't buy the tornado!
