Smoked a Lighning Yesterday!!!!
First off, my GTP is modified, with a smaller pulleyy and a throttle enhancer. Next to me at the stoplight is a black very new Lightning. He revved it up so I knew we were on. At green, we both mash the pedals with quite a bit of tire spin. I grabbed first and immediately got a full car length on my quick opponent. At 70MPH he gained to decrease my lead to 1/2 car. At this point we shut down and we turned off into a corner gas station. He said it was his first loss with his 4 month old truck. He laughed that he lost to a "4-door" car, and I laughed back that I was not about to lose to a pick-up truck!! All in all, a good race.

Wow you beat a truck, what will your friends say!!! You do have a manual transmission and less weight, so my hats off to you. Next time you race a lightning and it has a few mods like your vehicle tell us how you faired. I anxiously await the results.
Well, not to bring to light your lack of automotive prowess, but GTP's have auto tranny's. A manual is not available. BTW - his truck was bone stock.

Unfortunately for you, no, I live in lancaster NY. I never back down from a challenge, even from you with all your superchips, etc. My best ET has been 13.88 at 101. Yours?

In all fairness, you must have a pretty quick GTP with the mods you have performed. I've driven them and bone stock they are maybe high-14 second cars. Fun car, but not fast at all. A stock GTP vs. a stock L would be a complete joke.
If you beat him to 70 by 1/2 car, then that's pretty good. It would have been very close in the 1/4 mile to ~100mph.
I'd be curious as to what your car runs at the track in the 1/4. Have you ever had it to a track?
Oops...you posted again as I was typing this...and your true colors shown through in your last post. Nice attitude.
13.88 will get you absolutely whipped by at least 75% of the L's out there. Good luck, and thanks for letting us realize within the first 3 posts of yours that you're just trolling on this board.

Gotta love your loyalty...
GTP...would have been a little more impressive if it had been a modified Lightning and you had delivered it a little differently...At any rate, I would take my Lightning over a GTP any day.

Good kill, though I doubt you'll find much enthusiasm here. I've seen some quick GTP's but the quickest (that I've seen) are a match at best for my truck with just a chip. Stock to stock or mod to mod the GTP's lose. Are you trying to troll?

98 SVT Cobra - yes you can haul a hot tub, but how often is that necessary? I would think the ability to haul 4 passengers plus driver would be much more worthwhile!!
As for your SVT I assume it is heavily mod'd because I did walk away from a late 90's version (I think) a few weeks back. He had the most awesome sounding exhaust note, stereo blaring incoherently, super-dark window tint and all, but once the light turned green, it was all show and no go for him. Unless he "missed a shift" or something (excellent excuse!)

This guy is so full of it. I can't even find my shovel, it's buried under lies!
GTP is a waste of time for the L2, even if he has mods, vs. stock L2. Were talking about a low 15's car vs. a mid to high 13's truck.

1FASTSVT - I only posted originally because I was impressed to beat a "13.50 out-of-the-box" truck. I think that number is now an exaggeration. At the track in June or July, an SVT posted a 14.4. What's up with that? A stock GTP with a good driver can coax a 14.5, maybe 14.3 at best out of this car stock. Slap on a smaller pulley (which you guys cannot do), and instantly add 20, 30, or 40 horses depending on pulley size. All it takes is 15 minutes to swap pulleys. Soon I'll be upgrading the intake (CAI) and exhaust (SLP), so even a mod'd truck will be an ornament in my rear-view mirror!!! Jeez, I think my Durango would give your "SVT" a run for the money...with 7 people in it of course!!!!!!
