New to the board and wanted to say HI!
I finally found you guys after looking for a Lightning forum forever. My truck is pretty heavily modded. It's been in countless magazines and won the "fastest truck" competition 3 years in a row. Needless to say I'm very proud of my truck and drive it all the time. Let me know if you guys are having any meets or have any Q's about my truck.

Welcome to the board FORCED. I'm sure you'll find out soon how nice these men & women are. I see you live in Cali. You JUST missed a California Speed Meet this past Saturday, but from what I read, there is one coming up, hope to see you there.

Here are some of the mods that are on it currently. The truck was Vortech's test truck for alittle while also.
we stroked the 351 to a 408
ported the heads
bigger valves in the heads
ported the intake
b303 cam
S-trim
DFI computer
55# injectors
vortech fuel rails
Aeromotive Fuel pump
C-4 3 speed tranny
3.55 gears were installed inplace of the 4.10's
we made some control arms for it.
we also lowered it a bit
It also had a stage 1 NOS kit on it.
Those are some of the bigger things we have done to it. Cosmetically it has a new roll pan on it, tonneau cover, center line 17" wheels, and everything else was blacked out to match the paint.
You guys probably hate me already for 'butchering' my Lightning, but it looks really good, and runs like a champ. Surprises a lot of people on the street as you can imagine.
I don't have a way of getting a pic online yet, because I haven't set up a website. So if anyone can upload the pic for me somehow let me know and I'll e-mail you the pictures.
And can anyone recommend a free server to make a website on?
Thanks
Greg

WWW.Zing.Com is a perfect place to store your pictures. And it depends on what you want to achieve with your website. If it's just for fun, then Angelfire.com and Yahoo.com have fairly easy web builders to use. And best of all, they are free.
Hey Greg,
I think your truck was featured in the same issue of Super Ford that my Mustang LX was featured...Jan. 2000.
Am I right?
I don't have the article in front of me, but I remember that truck having a blown 408 in it. At the time, I think it was running low-12s.

The last magazine my truck was in was in the March 2000 'Truckin' magazine when we were out at the dragstrip. The truck ran a best of 11.69 that day. The guy who previously owned the truck, Alan Rodriguez was driving that day. My truck was never in the Fast Fords mag.
The DFI computer is a decent computer. There are better out right now, but the DFI was my choice. It's expensive though. I just wanted something to get ride of the MAF.
I run usually on ET Streets when I go to the track.
