Question

So Jarmstro, how were your dyno results? Were you pleased? I have a swanson chip and a Pro-M MAF headed my way. Thanks for any info.

Those of you who are concered about delays in getting chips from PSP or Swanson Performance..that's our fault. Not thiers.
We recently changed our chip design and during production, the chip tester failed which caused a delay in manufacturing.
Everything is back on schedule and they are shipping to our dealers now.

Again, we are sorry about the delays.

SHM, what Pro-M unit do you sell?
I see that some Lightning are stock type 80mm window sensors with the optimizer on and other are the 80mm race units.

fastblack,

Yes I was very pleased...... you will be real happy with Danny's chip.

I would post the results but don't have then with me. I might add the the Pro-M makes good power by itself and coupled with the chip you will get this funny grin on your face when you hammer it.

When you install your chip be sure to take the time and clean the contacts very good and don't forget to disconnect the "negative" terminal on battery first. Also don't panic(I did)after you install the chip reconnect the battery and turn key on. The gauges all peg. None of my Mustangs(7 of them) and '94 Lightning ever did this.

Good luck and have fun, oh yeah.... be sure to have a full tank gas before your start. Why? You will understand once you leave your driveway after chip and Pro-M install for test drive.....

Hello Wild, hate to ruin the fun you had with this post, but the posted dyno you were refering to had a throttle spike on take off at 3200 RPM. It was an oversight on my part, and appologize. Went though all the dyno runs today and discovered the err.
The numbers now being used are the ones I sent you from run 020 that showed the 61.8 HP and 42.3 ft-lb increase from the mass air/chip/exhaust combo, and run 008 with just chip/mass air combo with 56.4 HP and 38.1 ft-lb increase.
Once again, sorry for any confusion.

What bashing? you lead us to believe, it was the secret exhaust that found an extra 60/lb ft, in our lightnings, whereas it's the same as the rest, no better no worse. Now if SHM sold me an exhaust, with that guarantee of hp/trq that just turned out to be spikes, i'd be doing my bashing with a 32oz ball pien hammer(on hoods not heads), cause i hear they have some real nice ones.

MRBBQMAN, what, you mean you couldn't believe 50 ft-lb's from exhaust. Yeah, it's a new technique all the Lightning Dealers are using. They run the pipes straight out the back, and got these mini CVR turbine jets mounted just behind the muffler. There's an afterburner package that can be purchased as well, but heard that it can cause havoc on the fuel mileage.

I've heard about those. down here we call that system the "Twin Lewinski", the downflow doesn't stand a chance.it's expensive, you have to be rich or a politician to afford it.

Thumbs up

I would like to order a Twin Lewinsky for my Lariat S/C. That should get me into the low 12's, right?

(sorry Lightning guys, couldn't resist!)

Heard Dole tried this system on his Lightning, but he couldn't get it up and running.
