This reminds me of a day at work a few years ago.

I was a probation officer and one of my probationers dropped a dirty screen. Went before the Judge and said something to the effect:
Your honor, I've had a real hard time lately, My girlfriend left me, my son is in the hospital, and I lost my job, I know it is not an excuse but that is why I smoked that marijuana.

Judge looked at him and said something to the effect:
So when the going gets tough you turn to drugs? Probation extended 1 year and you'll serve those 120 days that we were holding in abeyance starting today.

Next case.

Cool the judge threw him jail instead of trying to help him out. Nice judge.

They "helped" him out the first time they gave him probation.

I smoke weed because I like it. I don't need any other reason.

It's no one's f*cking business except mine. I would not apologize -- or even explain -- to a police officer, a judge, or anyone else. The law is stupid, wrong, and hypocritical. I will pay the penalty, but I will not feign remorse.

But when you are out on parole, you are required to make a bargain with the state to surrender certain rights, including your God-given right to spark up a fattie. Violation of that bargain makes you an idiot -- and subject to no one's sympathy.

As much as I support one's right to get high, I would probably lock him back up myself.

"Dang, your honor. That's some tough sheot you just laid on me.

Would it be cool if I turn myself in to the bailiff in the morning? Since I've already blown the drug test, can I pleeeease have just one more night of bong hits on the Lay-z-boy before I have to go back to wearing lingere for a 400-pound guy who makes me call him 'Daddy'?"

Instead of throwing him in jail, they should have made in enlist into the service. Just my opinion.

An attorney who doesn't follow the law. Go figure. How did you put it Tim "stupid, wrong, and hypocritical" . Makes me wonder why you became one.
