Yoda~ You would have to understand the heritage, I don't fully inderstand it myself, but I do know that rice is an important part of their lives, present and past. And "ricer" and "rice burner" are often viewed as slanderous, obnoxius, even racist terms. You seem to be the only one who is upset about this whole thing. Maybe its better I don't say anything. But like you said it is the internet and free speach is allowed.

you take one down, then 10 more show up to try you also, so much r*c* so little time! I do get bored with them tryng to race me, they are no fun, I have NEVER had even a decent challenge from - EVER! Yet they keep on tryng, what sad is that I will waste one, but he will keep on trying & trying & trying & trying...... gets boring. Had a funny one Sat, a suburban filled with 4 guys, tried to take my from the light, not even worth the thread space.
Hey Floyd, didnt mean to dissrespect your g/f, but everyone takes ricer/rice burner the same! But you are right, I have never read about their heritage & would never know that, so I will try to refrain from using 'ricer' so as not to upset anyone on this board, This thread is suppose to be informative & fun (I try for more of the fun) but my apologies

Speaking of talking trash on ricers an MR2 tried to race ME today, I was just driving normally all of a sudden I hear this irritating exhaust and it's a little black car trying to show me what he's got. Well you know what happened after that.

Then we come to the next light and I guess a fellow ricer is trying to back him up, he's right on my ***, so I do a burnout in his face, let him catch up to me, and touch the gas and say bye bye.

Just another day driving the L - it's all in good fun! By the way I'm Asian too so I guess I'm going against my own kind? LOL - I wouldn't drive one of those suckers if you paid me.

BRIMSTONE, I also own, and very much enjoy, an MR2, but since it's not a turbo, I know better than to challenge such a beast as the L. If it were a turbo, I'd be tempted to race an L since I believe the 1/4 mi times are close (stock, that is).

I know I said that, (that being 2000s quote)I guess when you love someone so much you start to stick up for their beliefs. But in all fairness it can go a little too far. I was trying to keep it from going so far as to offending anyone, you never know who is lurking back there. I agree with that nathan, very rarely do you see an asian in a racing honda or toyota. I also ran an mr2 today. Not sure if it was turbo or not, but it didnt even hang with me. And about running a surburban a newer ford ranger wanted to run with me. I took it from the first light. Got to the second light, waited for him, we went again. and so on this went for 2 more lights, Maybe he thought that me kicking his butt was just a fluke. As far as this thread goes, I think it best if it gets closed. The sooner the better. I'm sure there are more that can agree with me.
