Hey, on another post on this Board from the Left Coast, it is already $1.99. Here around Wash. DC area a TV station found $1.91 for premium. Highest they found in the area. EXXON gas.

Saturday, at a Shell station I saw $1.75 for premium.

Yeah, here in the D/FW area, we're still pretty cheap compared to a lot of places around the country.

I paid $1.55 for Super Unleaded just today, and I'm in a NE Dallas suburb. The Dallas Morning News that predicted ~$2.00/gal by late May for us here. As all the other reports on this issue have stated, even if production is increased by the major suppliers we won't see any benefit of that til after the summer.

I figure even if it costs me ~$.70 more per gallon when the price tops out (compared to what we were paying 4 months ago)that's going to cost me about $50 a month more than it used to. Sure, that's a pretty big bite, but then again gas prices haven't even kept up with the mild inflation rates over the past 10-12 years.

Guess its time to pay the piper. :-\

Just filled the L today $1.65 here in Phoenix. Unfortunately, nothing we can do about the prices.

The way I look at it is this: When people ask me what kind of mileage I get, I tell them, "If I wanted good fuel mileage, I'd buy a Moped".

Just out of curiosity, what does it cost these days to fill an L with supreme unleaded? I'll be getting one soon and I have a feeling I'm gonna have wallet shock for a while.

1.51$ for the moment. If hits 2+$ ,I will pull blower belt and run cheaper gas for travel to work, then for friday night at drag strip. Will put 5gal of high test with boster.

Just kidding. But if does go to high, is an idea. LOL

hey guys,

gas here is just as expensive. check out www.priceline.com, you'll be able to bid on gas cards by the end of this month. should cut costs down. from what i've seen in the news, opec's strategy to reduce production with the northeast's cold winter, is to blame for the prices. they said that by fall prices will be lower, but for the peak summer months, they'll still be high.

Here's another way to look at things. Even with the rising prices, premium is still 20 cents more than regular here in northern CA. When regular was $1.00, premium was $1.20. Now regular is $1.70 and premium is $1.90. It's still cheaper to run my L than it is to run my 95 Bronco.

I'm in Silicon Valley on business, and after seeing the gas prices here, I don't feel so bad paying $1.659/gal back in TX. Here, it ranges from $1.919-$2.019/gal!!
