Where is Haywoods shop located? You can email me at gap32514@highstream.net.

I would not bag on the tuner. SVC is a top notch shop . There isn't a shop in AZ better when it comes to tuning and work. But of course that is my opinion but when you have pretty much most of the AZ lightnings using them it does say something. Now this persons truck you are talking about I know very little because he has not posted on AZLOC. But from the grapevine there were problems with this truck before hand and from what I heard the truck blew on 6* of timing not under full load and shot a flame through the block. Also the truck would not produce any more than 6lbs of boost. So the tuner was trying to find out the problems. This truck was doomed from the beginning. I have no idea what was done to the truck prior to this so this information is secondhand. I hope this info helps a little.

Hey, I hear SVC has a 2002 complete motor sitting in the shop. Maybe you can just throw that in there and blow another one. It seems like to me the way you let everyone know how much money you have, is when you get in trouble. Maybe you are just too gullable.(sp)

No but seriously SVC has a 02 block in the shop.

I agree with SVC being top notch and IMHO the only tuner to use in AZ. I know them quite well and spoke with Rob about the L in question. As stated in the above post, he was fixing problems with this truck and had not put a new SVC tune to it yet. He was in the process of doing the first pull to see what base lines it currently had on it. Note that this is a mustang dyno (loaded dyno) and only part way into the run when the motor let go.
I'm only posting to stick up for SVC. They don't deserve to take a hit for this.
And btw, this guy does own 2 Lightnings.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I am not trying to put this on SVC, never have, never will. Rob and Dean are great! The problem was the actuator was in the open position, it was corrected during the first pull! The motor ventilated on the 2nd pull.. This thread has gotten out of hand, it started as a simple post and has gone way past rediculous already! The truck is going back to SVC for tuning on the new motor!
