No they're not. He was initially going to but decided some dedicated Lightning units would work and look better, so that is one of the reasons the kit was delayed, he had to re-do the entire hot side also.

I do not know the specs on tubing sizes, but will try to find out.

Here's a couple mock up pics. Realize that nothing is coated yet, clamps, blue hose gets substituted, etc. This is not the final kit but the final mockup to build jigs and the kits. You can choose exhaust colors/coatings, powder coat colors on manifold and cold piping, etc.

So the wastegate vents into the Intake? I've had setups and seen a ton that vent into the exhaust side, but never right back into the intake. Seems odd to me. NICE setup thogh camco. Glad you're taking the plunge for us bystanders sitting on the fence. Only 18K to go on my warranty and then it's turbo time.

Can't wait to see some numbers!

Thanks for the pics Jody! That's going to be a really nice kit, but I don't like one thing...the downpipe routed under the front a-arms. They could have easily designed it where it didn't have to be that way. I'm thinking that mightl be a deal breaker for a lot of people.

I was thinking that was the blow-off/surge valve. That would need to be vented back into the intake after the MAF so you didn't have unmetered air leaving the system. I would think the wastegate has to work off the exhaust as you said, and is out of the picture.

That's not my truck by the way, that's someones in Texas that they're using for mockup.

That's actually the BOV.

Agree and not sure why they did that. I understand it's easier and probably less of a turn out of the turbo which may be why they did it. My truck isn't lowered so I don't think I'll have an issue, plus the a-arm raises with the tire directly so hopefully speed bumps aren't an issue.

It appears to be a recirculating BOV. The other options would be 50/50 (50% vents to atmospere/ 50% recirculates) or 100% vent to atmospere. Recircs are easier to tune. Typical watsegates either dump back into the down pipe or atmosphere. I don't see a waste gate in those photos. Hopefully not using an internally gated turbo. Have to agree that the down pipe running lower than the A-arms is going to be an issue.

The down pipe doesn't bother me because it's at the wheels. You should never bottom that out on a speed bump or anything like that. I hope they keep it all on that side(nothing under the drivers side)

Also kindof curious if you could get a kit without the fabbed up intake part that takes the place of the blower. I've got a couple of Eaton cases that could easily have the bottom cut out of to save some $$$'s

It does stay on the passenger side and splits to two pipes and into the catback. I am sure you can order the kit without the intake; although these are kits they trreat them as customs, offering different coatings, polished or plain turbo, etc.

Be nice if they would make about a dozen kits ready to order when they make your kit final

Really curious how the stock intercooler is going to work at that power level.
