Thats a twin-screw EATON on the GT? How do they compare in performance to other twin-screw superchargers?

Quit your bitchin! You won't get one and that will mean one more for someone that wants one

But, I do have to say, I doubt the Whipple will produce much more hp compared to the KB at the same boost. That's my opinion.

Can you imagin that the GT blower makes 550 Hp at I think 12 psi. Just think if you ported and polished that baby!

Sorry to steal the thread, forgive me.

Peace,

Whipple does not need to prove itself. They are just reselling Lysholm compressors, which are "proven" by any reasonable interpretation of that term. The Whipple system will work because there is no way that it cannot.

And if you did change it, you would also speed up the power steering pump(I think it shares the same belt).

Also, since it already has a small pulley on it, is it possible that the S/C maybe close to its limit? These are just some things I'm throwing out here. :o

If I am not mistaken the GT uses a 2.2 rotor pack inside an Eaton housing.

There was a press release at Sema last year that Ford would be releasing the GT engine and transaxle as a crate motor. I wonder when the release date will be and how many dineros that would cost.

Since Ford has decided to go with the 122 Eaton Roots on the GT-500, the Lysholm rotors may be easier to come by for Whipple. I was hoping to see a twin screw on the next Cobra.
