So in fact what Ford is saying is, hey, here is a new supercharger we have for your truck, buy it from us, give us your moolah $$$$, put it on and run it but if it blows your engine we are not responsible.....right.

The warranty is for the original vehicle, design and specifications.

Tuners don't give warranties either. Ask your tuner to give you a 3 year warranty and see what he says.

I understand that but isn't Ford selling this unit to Ford owners, why would they sell something that would void the Ford warranty?

PS.... sorry, I didn't mean to hijack this thread, just a question I had.

This is not a GM board but you could have used Roush. In that case, entire vehicles bought from Roush have a Roush warranty not Ford. If you buy parts from Roush and you modify the original warranty, you're on your own.

That's the comparison. We're talking high performance parts not vehicles.

Thanks for the feedback guys, well it was worth a laugh anyways (stress reliever)

BTW the whipple really looks good and really want to see one installed, and feedback on performance.

Later...Bert.

whipple will reprogram your pcm, and if you use the stock pulleys they should warrentee it

i installed a whipple charger on a 03 ranger, and ford says they honor the warentee

as long as whipple programs your pcm you l should be covered. as long as everything else is left in a stock condition

It's being sold by Ford Racing Performance Parts, not Ford.

Yup, big difference. Ford Racing could give a fug if you blow your motor up.
