Don't have an eaton, I've already owned a magnum, unfortunately I sold it when my motor blew, It made 40 more rwhp than the ported eaton I had, peak numbers, and just felt better on the truck.

Whipple may warranty their supercharger but not, of course, the motor. That's up to Ford and they won't do it even if they sold you the aftermarket part.

Harley Davidson does the same thing. If you install Screaming Eagle parts yourself (high performance aftermarket parts actually made by Harley) on your stock Harley, the warranty is voided unless you can show that the failure in not related to any of the SE parts. A few years ago, Harley would honor the warranty if the dealer installed the parts but not any more.

I'm just as confused as you!

I talked to a guy from Ford Racing who told me that they are going to use it but did not actualy have a blower yet?

GT use's a rear entry Eaton.

That's true, but misleading. There is no difference between Eaton and Whipple when it comes to twin screws. Eaton has the OEM license from Lysholm, Whipple has the aftermarket.

Tim, that is correct.

According to Modular Power Magazine, Vol.2 No.4 that feature the build up of the GT power plant. The Ford GT comes equipped with a Eaton-Lysholm Supercharger.

ok all now for answers

No i have not installed the kit. I was waiting for plugs to do them while the blower was off and they came today so i'm all ready. It will prob happen on sunday.

Overall IMO the kit is VERY well made and VERY complete. It includes EVERYTHING from hoses to a shorter egr tube to a new thermostat to new Ford gaskets to bolts to mount it down to the intercooler. The mid plate is a lot beefier than you would imagine. also instead of 8 bolts holding it down like the eaton is there are 12. Those of you that have pulled the blower know there are 8 that hold the blower to the intercooler. then there arte 4 in the back that hold down the intercooler to the lower intake. Well you use the 4 in the back also to hold down the unit. Thye kit is very complete coming with everything from the intercooler up to the intake tract. the only items you reuse are your throttle body and your MAF sensor. The midplate on my unit is for 99-00 trucks only.

Prices for the kits are 3295 for black and 3895 for polished

Unfortunately only 2 kits were shipped. The holdup is lynsholm. Whipple has 1900 compressors on backorder from them now. 1300 are sold and 300+ are for lightning kits. Right now the best way to order is through is through whipple. all of their orders will be filled FIRST. then the only way to order is though an authorized dealer of ford racing parts or whipple.

This unit is a 2.3L i believe KB's are a 2.2L(don't quote me, maybe a KB owner can pop in and verify) As far as the 3.3's go honestly i doubt they will see production. with all the problems they are having with lynsholm and with how long it's taking to get the 2.3 to go out i doubt they will be made.

oh and tim funeral arrangemants for 35thpony have been completed. may he and his site rest in peace.

Any more questions just ask away

Will

I'd say "Still screw whipple!" They have yet to still prove themselves.
