Take it from an old farm truck running 9's, it takes alot more than just a cage to be legal in the 9's.

Hope your ready for a sfi balancer, trans blanket/blowshield, 8 point cage, new certified axles and so on.

also whip said something about being able to kick anyone out of his shop when he wants but his signature says going fast with class, now thats funny stuff.

Yeah I know, but the cage is the only item I had a problem with installing. I MIGHT be able to get away with running a few private events now...Thats the ONLY reason for the cage.

BTW, Nice truck!!! I always wanted to do a Gen 1, but never have gotten around to it yet!!!

First off...I am sorry for laughing at your screen name. In the past, there have been people in stock trucks register similar names. Hats off to your nine sec Gen I...that rocks!

Next...what does throwing someone out of my shop have to do with class? If your an a-hole...you get the boot! Plain and simple. We have a very small customer base that we take very good care of. Our customers send us Christmas gifts....would you do that for YOUR mechanic? If we let a-holes come in our shop, then we have to put up with the problems, and it takes time away from our good customers. (and I don't just mean good $$ customers)

Whip,
Unless you're running the March of Dimes, a "good customer" is the same as a "good $$ customer." Or maybe you're just a nice guy...

L-Menace,
You're nothing but a flip-flopper. You've changed sides in this thread more than John Kerry would have.

Tallimeca,
The comparison between the KB and MP can be made and is completely relevant. Both are aftermarket blowers and can add power to your truck. Both can be run with a stock block but can be taken further with a built one. The trick here is to find a good balance between how fast you want to run and how much you're willing to spend. If you plan on going with a built motor in the future, I say spend the extra money and go with a KB (or wait on the new Whipple). If you just want to reach a certain level (let's say high-10s), then save and go with the MP. Can an MP-powered truck run quicker than a KB? Sure! But once you hit the limits of the MP, you'll find yourself spending money elsewhere to compete with a comparable KB-powered truck.

Jim@JDM,
Are you pushing the MP because you don't have a distributorship with Kenne Belle? I know you "tune" many KB-powered trucks, but solely distributing the MP does make you a little biased, no?

Dude, if that's true, that is not cool.... not at all.

If you wanted a KB (thinking that is why you painted it black) you should've bought one from the beginning, instead of the MP and then ragging on them.

You're happy with kb. Great!
what satisfaction do you get out of ragging on MP?

Damn that imposter Jim tuning those trucks

then they (not anyone else) shouldn't complain when those people who were thrown out of their shop, come on here and post their experiences with said shop.

That is absolutely not true! If you care to start a discusion in the general forums, I will gladly explain. And we (family buss.) are very good people...the whole world is not driven by money.

Do you work for JDM too?

sorry for the last response if you do, i thought going fast with class would mean you are with a company that doesnt make public statements that are derogatory towards others.

i am going fast with hp and class.. thanks sal.
