Few questions about MP
I can't stay outta this. Like SAUVY and others i have been an Magnum owner since early MARCH. In fact i had the first production one installed. Jim was perfectly candid in his remarks. I asked for an 11 second truck, stock block, with some degree of confidence it would hold together. He has given me and others i know what we asked for. I have several 11 runs on it now (hot and cool temps) and am 100% satisifed with the blower and customer service. I plan to take the blower to the next level with a built motor for the 10's as well (someday). Also, Charles at M/P checks with me frequently to see how things are going. Bottom line, i'm another very satisified customer of JDM and Magnum Powers and am sorry for the problems you have had. Best of luck with the KB.

Your rude, your obnoxious, and your 100% wrong. You have been voicing your opinion on the MP for months. If you cant stop I will follow your every post with facts. I have many MP trucks out there running way faster than you, maybe your problem here is that you are imbarrassed and thats the reason why your taking it out on the blower you couldnt tune to. Dont give something a bad name where there is alot of people out there really enjoying the MP. Your opinion has been heard now go away.

I understand that Im new around here and only have an old farm truck gen1, but you gotta be the worst representative for the comopany you work for. calling someone those names and telling them to go away is ignorant as hell. explain to your boss when things get slow that you told people to go away and see how long you keep your job. thats sad dude.

exactly
you are new around here so you don't know the half of it!!!
This is in no way way disrespect to you. You probably are better off.
I'll give you a quick preface to this board.
Here on F150Online, you will find the largest group of message board knuckleheads that ever existed. There used to be, and sometimes still is, lots of good information here. Unfortunatly, you have to become quite familiar with the search button to find it. If there ever is another good post, it quickly goes down in flames by this large group of idiots.
It is the unwritten law of the knuckleheads, to "stir the pot" as we call it. When ever there is a subject which they don't agree with , you, or that situation is just plain wrong. It does not matter what the facts are. God forbid you dispute it.
Which brings us to the "Tuner Wars." If you don't buy from a Vendor, that vendor is the enemy. Even if you don't really have a problem with that vendor, THEY ARE THE ENEMY. So when ever they post, you have to jump all over them, be rude, and sometimes 100% wrong just to "stir the pot".
Now, if you defend that Vendor because you buy parts, you are officially designated as a "cheerleader". Also, if you buy a part from someone and you have a problem with it, there is no way in hell it could have just been a bad part. All of those parts are bad and you must come on here and post about it. Don't forget to leave out that the person you now bought them from is a crook and a liar and everything they sell is junk. And if they offer tunning capabilities...........you now have to stick to your guns and make it a point to post how they don't know how to tune a vehicle, at every chance you get.
Oh, and if you motor blows up, who ever's parts are on there.........it's that vendor's fault. If you set your shift points to 7k rpm's......it doesn't matter. The vendor should have told you not to.
I think you get the picture.

This is why my post count is low here. I cant stand this JDM toolbag. Those of you that know me know that I have been a long time member of the lightning community. They know that I have built my truck with my bare hands from a donor L and a 97 base model truck. To sell someone else's parts and tune them is nothing to me. JDM what you do isnt **** so dont go around getting all ****y thinking you are the man. You couldnt hold a candle to what I can to do a vehicle. Yes Casey is my friend and I was one of the people he was referring to about Gainesville. He proved that he was a toolbag that day.
Everyone have a good day.
Everyone have a good day.

I can tell you, as I'm sure Tallimecca can too...one of the great things about either being your own boss, or running the show in a family bussiness...you can do what ever you want! You can throw a-holes out of your shop when ever you want....and as long as you treat your regular customers good....you don't have to worry it!

What good would it be if this was a flowery community that never said they had a problem. Everyone covered up and sucked up there problems they had. Then everybody ends up buy/doing the same thing without knowing there is a problem, or lack of results.
It is funny that a little while back a member of this community had a problem with a built motor he has installed by a smaller Lightning vendor. Everyone backed the truck owner and downed the vendor.
But, if someone has a problem with one of the big Lightning vendors it is the persons fault, they just don't like that vendor, and soforth....

Very well said John,
I love my stock block Magnum L also and the good tech support I get from JDM when I have a problem w/ the L
Charles of MP still sends emails asking me how the Mag is doing on the L
With this kind of customer support why would I go anywhere else?
This is why I'm driving up to NJ from FL in two weeks to hopefully become one of those 11 sec trucks I hear so much about

Friday night in jersey =
mp blower/jdm service
Though I just sold my 01 Lightning, there are some ridiculous issues that hve been addressed in this topic.....
Tuners....everyone has their preference, but when I ask a tuner to do a specific thing in the tune I expect it to happen....I have a bitter taste in my mouth towards JDM after having them totally disregard my requests to line pressure and tq reduction settings for my truck....they also put my a/f and timing so high my plugs were literally white up to the porcelin...I understand that every truck is different...Tuners need to listen to their customers...
MP Blower....it is a decent blower, but the KB is a better blower....for Casey to grind the logo off the front....who cares...how many people remove badges/add badges to clean up the lines and add a clean unique style to their truck.....ALOT. I have a hard time believing grinding the logo off had anything to do with the failure of the blower.
SERVICE....As a customer I expect to get great service ...not only when buying a product, but after the purchase as well. JDM was great and nice when Casey was buying the MP from them in Atlanta at the FFW, but when we were in Gainseville and he had problems, they wouldn't give him the time of day making him wait for over 1hr. Then Jim had to make excuses about the drain plug.......should be in hollywood as he pretended to struggle taking the fill plug off, but Casey took off easily with one hand.....Was sad to see, but somewhat amusing at the same time. In my words UNSAT. I have been keeping my mouth shut, but the MP Blower works even though there are more efficient units out there. The guys at MP stand behind their product and that is great, but if the vendors are a##%oles about the product it will not last.

ok
Magnum and KB are apples and oranges. At some point, someone is going to listen and stop making this pointless comparison.
Like the last post just said, their are more effecient units out there....................

My KB locked up after only 3k miles!! Not a big deal though, Jim Belle took good care of me. I never said one word on the board about it!!
I cannot post any opinion on MP from experience, but I have seen alot of MP trucks exceed MY expectations.
Jim D'amore has tuned my truck for a year now and has done a wonderful job ( as did Sal when he tuned my truck ).
BTW, JDM has the MOST 10 second trucks and the fastest customer owed truck!!!
Soon to be a CAGED 9 second truck shooting for the top spot
YES I'm putting a cage in my Lightning
