Ram SRT10 runs 12.1's with a 200 shot !!!!

wow !!! It only took a 200 shot, and other various mods to run a 12.15 at 117mph. This includes all the clutch mods that Ram owners do. This is on the stock tires as there is nothing else available at this point.

ok.

So, that engine really held up to a 200 shot?

The owner gets a truck with 500hp, adds an additional 200 shot and is still in the 12's? Not impressive. It's no engineering marvel. Stick the only real performance copy cat Lamborghini engine DCX has in a truck and sell it for big $$$. To only get looked down on from fellow Viper owners.

How happy are they to have a truck with their powertrain for way less $$$? The ones I have talked to here are not happy about it. Just like the 00 Cobra owners that paid $50K+ and get bested by the 03 high production Cobra.

We do the average mods and it put's us in the mid to high 12's depending on the tune, without juice. Then add the juice and were still a head of the game. We didn't pay $45K+ and still have the cheaper, best looking bang for the buck truck, with or without mods. It can perform truck duty. Where the SRT Ram is a Viper with a truck shell.

Who would pay that much for a truck and not get your $$$ worth in quality and performance is beyond me. Plastic slave cylinder on a 500hp engine? No wonder their is no clutch warranty. I'm not happy about Ford's quality right now, but I didn't pay $45K. Makes me feel better about my piston slap.

Put the cost of the truck, cheater kit and the rest of the mods down on paper, add it up and it's still in the 12's? That blows big time!

It's already a wounded duck from the factory. Crapy clutch, crapy slave cylinder, and crapy shifter to help miss 3rd gear shifts. Hard to launch and you have to mod it to compete with a slightly moded L. Racing them with a moded L isn't sporting IMHO.

DCX sucks on my exhaust pipes on a weekly basis around here from all the HEMI truck owners that have been fooled into believing their truck is something special. Sheep targeted by a good marketting campaign. Great sound system in the truck, I'll give them that.

Is it worth $45K. Look at the new C6 vette. I'd rather have that at 40K, at least I get the performance I paid for. Oh, did I mention how ugly the dudge truck is? SRT RAMS blow for the $$$.

Why can't you just accept some competition without having to resort to being negative about it? Majority (if not all) of your posts regarding any other manufacturers trucks have nothing but put downs and slams in it. Nobody says it has to be your cup of tea, but not everyone is you.
