Cool New L owner in the club

Greetings and happy Labor Day to all.
I have finally have had my new 03 Lightning delivered to me and I am pumped. I have been reading all of your threads the past couple of weeks and I have already had many questions answered and will learn alot form you all. Hopefully at some point I will be of help also.
A bit about myself to knock out the formalities. I am currently serving in the army(Ft.Bragg,NC). I have been a Paratrooper the past 15yrs and counting and traveled/deployed all over.
I currently own a Black Ranger Edge and now have stepped it up to the big boy, a Black 03 Lightning. I already have stuff piling up in the garage ready to be bolted on and can't wait to put the hurt on these Hemi's around here. There is no shortage of trucks around town here in NC and hope to put soem shame on thesae boys as well as maybe a few of the geeky "tuner cars."
I have about 6K worth of stuff to add to the beast already and I would think that's pretty good for "Phase One."
Hope this was not to long and drawn out but I just wanted to introduce myself to you all since we will be exchanging info and tips.
Take care and for any other military service members out there I would like to thank for what you do. From one Joe to another.
Later all.

Welcome, and Airborne All The Way! When I left Active Duty in Nov '98, the 'import tuner' thing was starting to show up on base with a lot of the lower enlisted, but for the most part, we were all Amercian Muscle guys. But then again, today privates were only 12 years old when I left the Army 6 years ago. I served in Fayette-nam as well - great country to go cruising in your new L.

Again, welcome, and enjoy.

Welcome aboard ...

Ignore the BS and the HS, and this place is a pretty good
collection of information and people.

Chip and a pulley first?

Whats up Drill? So your at Bragg? and almost ready to pop smoke huh?
The knees are doing OK suprisingly. I have only spent 3yrs away and that was HI.
Love your ride man, sweet. Where is that in the backdrop,CO? I was behind two other L's yesterday. Black also. Never really noticed any until now figure the odds. Kind of wish mine was a different color now but I guys its on what you do to it as far as mods and apperance that will set it apart from the rest huh?
Be cool man.

Well sound's good. May I suggest some drag radials or slicks, trac bars, drive shaft loop for phase two.

03 WHITELIGHTNIN,
Thanks and I hope we do run into each other. Do you get together with other L owners in Fay? This is what I have for the truck as of now for phase 1.

So what do you think over all? I want to get the *** end of the truck leveled off so I can drop the back any where from 2-5" with the Western bracket/shackles.

Nice to see a white L,low production #'s as well. 606 for 03 correct?

Be cool

Thanks for the welcome man,
So your from the great state of Ohio? I have had many buds from there.
I was a PVT here in 89 and grew up in Div so I have seen many fads with POVs. But I have always been a American Muscle kind of guy. I always thought when I had the $$$ I would get a old muscle car. Well I got the muscle just in a different body. No regrets either. This is what my first mods are that I am working on. What do you think?

Holy Crap! Phase 2 could get spooky if I did that. I don't know if I am ready for strip mode yet. I want to get it to sound sweet when I roll thru town and if these Stangs,Camaro's,or tuners want some hopefully I can deliver.
I thing I will be ordering my Hellwig F/R sway bars next week to round of the suspension and should I do the boost by pass? Pretty cheap upgrade but if Im not launching down the strip is it needed for weekend fun?
