Do you want to impress me? Can he also tow a 5,000lb trailer? If not then it is NOT IMPRESSIVE AT ALL!

TrackBeast, I have the usual bolt on's. 4# lower, Apten Blower, chip, TB, FTVB, 4.10's, electric fan, high-flow cats with Silver bullet cat-back and JLP traction bars. I do run nitrous but did not use it while running the SRT-10.

Ok, let’s take this very slowly, ok? V-e-r-y S-l-o-w-l-y….

The L-i-g-h-t-n-i-n-g cost approx. (means about) $33k

The S-R-T 1-0 cost approx. (again means about) $44k (bet you didn’t know that huh?) They be changing them ol’ boys around (means approx.) $50k plus

Anyway…

The Lightning and SRT-10 both stock from the factory are equal ¼ performing vehicles.

Now, the Lightning is actually a PRODUCTION - - - P-r-o-d-u-c-t-i-o-n TRUCK.

It has a tow rating of – 5,000 pounds.

The SRT-10 has a tow rating of????????

Any guesses?

WRONG, it has a tow rating of 0 ZERO which means it can’t tow jack chit brother.

Therefore it is one hell of a joke as far as a production truck and the Lightning is still the KING when it comes to the Fastest PRODUCTION TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Why spend $10k plus more when you can have a REAL PERFORMANCE TRUCK rather then some vehicle that can’t tow a damn thing?

Not impressed my friend, not i-m-p-r-e-s-s-e-d…

I think some of you guys are making this out to be a little more than it is. I just think it's funny that these SRT-10 owners watch all the Dodge Hemi and SRT-10 comericals and think that they can drop buy their local Dodge dealer and pick up an Dodge truck and instantly become "King Of The Streets".

Please remember this guy ran a red light just so he could run me. This guy knew what a Lightning was and thought he would just show off in front of his wife and blow right past me. Because after all he is "Viper Powered" right? Well I guess he just ran into the wrong lightning. If you could have only seen the look on his face when I put those 2 1/2 bus lengths on him!!!! I could only imagine what would have happend if I would have had the bottle on and we went from a dead stop. Now that would have been priceless................

"Not Recommended"

xlt, i know that towing is a big issue to you, but i don't think that it's really an issue for the truck, i think it's just a issue of them gettin a rating or not. I'm pretty sure it tows just fine.

A kid in an SRT in College Station!?! I wish I still had my Lightning. That would've been fun.
