A N/A hemi would own a 10 second Lightning? I've driven and ridden in a couple of real 426 Hemi cars from 1970. Very un-impressive to say the least. In fact a friend and I were laughing at how slow this Hemi Challenger was. And another friend has a Hemi Coronet and says the exact same thing. Likes it because it's worth a lot of money, but as far as fast, forget it!

Now if we're talking fully modded, then it can be fast just like anything else can. But just because it has a hemi-head config does NOT make it fast.

Why do you guys hate dodge so much? Is it cause they have ford beat in every category? SRT-10 is faster than the lightning. Hemi ram is faster than a regular 5.4 f150(it will blow it out of the water as a matter of fact) and the viper blows a mustang cobra out of the water. ha ha. But my views aren't as one sided as you guys, im not worried about brand name, if ford or chevy or honda or whatever makes a cool car i will like it.

 

Oh and i forgot to mention the dakota. Which is the only non full size truck to offer a v8. The only trucks faster in the quarter mile than a reg. cab 4.7 dakota with a 5 speed is the lightning and the SRT-10.

 

An srt10 ram is not faster than an L. In fact its more expensive and slower.

A viper srt10 is faster than a mustang cobra. It also costs twice as much and competes in a competely different area. how about we compare a viper to a Ford GT?

The GT is world class. The Viper is an overpowered piece of crap.

Hemi ram is faster than regular f150, big whoop.

The SRT-10 is faster than the L. They got an average lap speed of a little over 154 mph with the srt-10. And motor trend ran a 13.1 with the srt10 and a 13.6 with 650lbs in the bed of the srt10. No magazine including motor trend has even come close to those times with an L. Maybe there is some Joe blow out there that claims he got a 13.1 with a stock L but I ran a 12.9 with my stock srt-10 believe it or not. The viper is not a limited production vehicle unlike the GT. And when the ford GT starts to hit dealers and people actually can get one we will see which is faster. Yes the viper is overpowered which is something i like in a vehicle. But it is by no means a piece of crap.

 

The ford GT makes more power than a viper, but it's not overpowered. Ford has chassis engineers that deisgn a car to hold that kind of power.

On the other hand the viper is a big piece of crap with a giant motor in it, a publicity stunt if you will.

 

 

A 528CID Hemi will make 610/680 and in a B/E body car it will run mid 11s at the worst and uber low 10s at best. And thats just stock out of the crate.
