Those aren't even real Hemis. If they were we would be getting our asses blown out of the water. A Real N/A Hemi will own a blown lightning all day long, even 10second lightnings. Please try and be informed before you start dissing Hemis. THe ones in the trucks are semi-hemis, they dont even have a full hemispherical combustion chamber. If Dodge/Mopar/PVO knew anything they would bring back the Hemis of yor. That would be more than enough to send me over there. Those things breathe better than any other motor out there

If you must discuss the evolution of the Hemi go look at the other thread that has since been locked, and keep biased opinions out, as funny as it is arguing with somebody that doesn't know what the hell is goin' on and makin' fun of 'em, it does get old.

Hemi Smemi

My old wedge GTX(torque monster-490) used to keep up and even eat many street hemi's. Just because it is a hemi doesn't mean anything. The new Dodge hemi would need considerable mods to keep up with a Lightning. And with the mods I have the Dodge is going to have to build a whole new engine to keep up.

They are and they aren't. Like I said they arent full hemispherical combustion chambers. Even though the original Hemis were pentroof, they were more hemispherical than the new ones. This is what Dodge needs again:

Which one? All of the Hemi threads get locked because ignorant fools like DarkShadow03 post in them. When he gets beaten by a Dodge he is going to cry like a girl and make up an excuse. I dont care what type of car it is, as long as its fast and looks good. Too bad theres alot of people who have the blue oval shoved so far up where the sun don't shine to realize that

Which Hemis? The 390s or the 426s? That must have been making alot of power if it was the latter. Brand new 426s were making 433hp in '65. Do you still have the GTX?

No need to be hostile, I've got Ford blue runnin' through my vains but I still agree fast is fast. In the very next breath you can thank your V!0 friend for gettin these threads locked as well.

On any given day one brand is gonna win or loose, the comparo was a stock Hemi Ram vs. a Lightning and I don't care what brand your rootin' for, the Ram IS gonna lose, nuff said.

THEN it got drug into whatever that got the threads locked. Look, I'm a MOD on another board and I love rivalries, it's just the ignorant people need not post.

The only ignorant ones are the ones that post thinking only their brand is the fastest and all other brands suck and are slow

That is very true. The Hemi Rams pull pathetic 15 second quarter miles. Even an un experienced L driver could beat one.

I didnt mean to be hostile. I just dislike people that can't realize the fact that their car/truck wont always be the fastest and something of another brand will eventually beat it

Your smarter and more mature than others..."prolly a better person with a friendly attitude" and full of good Mopar info,
