The difference between the two is that the base pull was on a JDM race tune (20 degrees timing). We did an after pull on the same tune first and it made 441RWHP. But then we backed it down to the street tune and it made in the 430's range. The street tune has 15 degrees. We then did some testing and picked up another 8rwhp with one of our upcoming bolt-ons.

There was some control on the testing, we made sure that the truck was up to the same temperature and heated up.

So if I read that correctly, you still made 64 extra HP and 35 extra trq to the wheels even after bumping the timing back from 20 to 15 degrees?

If I read it right then.. WOW!!

I believe the 438RWHP was the last pull where our other new product was being tested in addition, and it was more like 430RWHP with the timing lowered just with swapping the blower.

Brian,

Stop teasing us about the new secret part that made 8 RWHP.

Still very very impressive!! Thats a 56 hp increase even with pulling back the timing!

With the BEFORE numbers, the A/F had to have been pig rich to generate that LOW of a number with that HIGH of timing.

I'd love to hear exact A/F numbers.

Regardless, great numbers with your mods!

it was posted on the prior page. It went from low-mid 11's to a flat 12:1

These are the best gains I've seen so far for a mildly modified L.

I see almost a full point change in A/F in the upper rpm range. Is this strictly due to the port job?

I really like how the torque curve flattened out.

the porting usually does lean it up a bit because it rasies boost. I don't think there's 20HP in the fact that it leaned up a half point, but anything is possible. The main point was just to show the customer's results with the same tune, same day, same temp, etc. This isn't the first one I've seen with this type of gain with a 4lb lower, but we will still continue to advertise conservative results

I’m not trying to take anything away from these numbers because they look great. But there seem to be a lot of variables that keep coming out piece meal. Just as an example, the before pull after driving 5 ½ hours could have been done with a lot of heat soak in the engine. The from testing some stuff at JDM, I had noticed that any slight change in A/F ratio, Timing, or Intercooler temperature would severely skew our results on what we were doing. Again, I’m not trying to take anything away or say that anything was done wrong. It was just an observation. I have no doubt that this porting works and I’ll most likely be going in this direction.
