Thumbs up Say goodbye to oil in the IC...

Here was my old setup...
It worked somewhat but was high maintance...

Here is the new setup..Oil drains back into the motor through the special red seperator while still functioning as a normal pcv system...
Still uses the stock pcv which is now in the oil fill neck. The line from the lower part of the intake is capped so no boost is recycled back to the blower/engine. Another big plus is I do not have to drain anything AND I still use positive crankcase ventilation..

that's pretty damn interesting setup!...

The one I have installed is like your old one...
wonder if I can add a one way valve so that it drains back into the engine like your setup

<--don't need one. I have my own version of the swanson mod, and after 6k miles I have no oil inside the lower intake(just had it off)

This is not a Swanson mod. You still retain stock pcv function. eventually you will get oil with those air compressor filters not to mention you are always draining them.

Was that original separator an oil coalescing filter? It kinda looks like a gen purpose filter.....if so, they're not for oil and oil vapor anyway.

Yes it was. That is why I say eventually with those air compressor type sep. you will get oil carryover into the upper plenum and through the blower to the intercooler..This new setup works and is plug and play with no more attention needed..

Yeah but the Sawnson setup is clean looking and doesn`t require maintenance. Also with the Swanson kit, you still evacuate the crankcase.

This does not require maintenance either.
Under boost you are "not" evacuating the crankcase. Your are allowing blowby to VENT through the drivers side.

Why not use your Supercharger to SUCK oil vapors out "under boost" when blow by is at its greatest?
Blocking it off does not make sense.
It was proven long ago that crankcase evacuation under WOT does increase piston ring seal.

Also, your swanson pcv is still sucking in unfiltered oil vapors from the crankcase. You are just introducing them UNDER the intercooler. Just not as much, because you have deleted the supercharger.
OIl recuces the octane rating.

There is a difference here.
Just clear your head and think about it in a different way.
Utilize what you have in a positive way.
