I Did It!!!!!!
I finally got me a Lightning, 2003 sonic blue. I have no idea what the build number is but I will look up the SVT number and call tomorrow.
All I can say is, well, not much, don’t know what to say except DAMN!!!!!! HOLY CHIT, and I’ll never need Viagra!!!!!!!!
I have wanted a Lightning for a very long time, basically every since they came out in I believe 1993. First I had a family so that put it on hold, then I had a divorce and that put it on hold for quite some time, then I came here and started posting back and forth with Fast Gator and the bug bite was bad!!!
I haven’t got into it yet as far as the throttle and haven’t even got into the boost. It had 3.5 miles when I picked it up today and now it has only 35 miles on it so from past experience, or I should say what I have been told in the past was to not get into it until its broke in a bit.
Now, I am no granny driver and never have been when breaking in new vehicles but I have never owned anything with a super charger so this leads me to a question for you experts:
Just how should it be broke in? What things should I look over to insure everything is ok to begin with? I have checked the fluid levels but that’s about it. Looked at the tires and so far it seems to ride pretty damn good. It does have a “slight” pull to the left but I have not had the opportunity to get it on a flat surface to see if it may be a possible alignment problem, or just because the turnpike slopes to the left to begin with for drainage.
I did check tire pressures before leaving with it and its 35psi all around, front and back are they any recommendations for different pressures?
I am so drained of energy from excitement, or pumped up, hell I don’t even know which one, kind of just in a daze I have no idea what else to ask so if you can think of anything please let me know…
Man this truck is CHIT F’ING HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations,01 XLT Sport, I think it is time for a user name changer, how about "Blue 03 SVT", if that has not been taken already. In regards to you feeling, I felt the same way when I bought my 01L. You want o laugh and cry at the same time, Your knees are weak when you look at the L, but you want to put that right foot to the floor. To sum it up, " Its like falling in love" but you are in love with a TRUCK

Congrats man. I know the feeling. I didn't think I was going to be able to get an L with all the kids. Crappy part for me was I was around them being an SVT salesman. I had to take one out and drive it for a while to charge up the battery (they don't allow anyone to drive SVT's normally). I called my wife while I was driving it and said " I have to have one of these ". About two months later, I was taking delivery of my '03 DSG L. Still can't thank the wife enough for giving me the go ahead. Guess she's a keeper.
32psi for your F1's ........ Congrats! Hey, now you need one of these framed for your office wall http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3701404915
