Fast Gator, thanks for everything. I have to say that once I joined this site and started posting back and forth with you is when I got the bug again but bad as ever.

RockPick, no I was only being quite about it because of how damn hard it was to get this Lightning. I have never had a problem getting a vehicle before. This time, with not boring everybody with details, took me 3 times till it finally worked out.

It began in September and the wait was awful. The two I wanted was either the sonic blue (1st choice) or dark shadow gray (2nd choice) which were both 03’s selling for 28.9k.

Anyway today was the third time to the dealer and they still had the sonic blue (Thank you Lightning GOD’S) and I was able to finally get a deal that worked out great.

I still have some Zaino Z5, all out of the Z2, but the Z5 is suppose to be better for darker colors, so since I have the next two days off going to wash it tomorrow and try to get 3 coats of the Z5 on it. I am still thinking about trying out the NXT but there is none around here and I want to get some protection on it since it is still winter and it will be a month or so before I can get a “beater”.

Took it out again tonight with my daughter to eat and basically drive around a bit. I did get on it some and some boost. OH MY GOD this thing is awesome and I still haven’t really got into it since there is only 85 miles on it, (and my daughter was with me) but basically driving it at varying speeds (been told way back that is the best way, or at least not drive at study speeds for long periods).

I think you are all right its going to be a real bitch getting any sleep tonight…

Rarely see any Lightning’s up this way so I am looking real forward to the FFW at Epping this summer to meet some of the people from here and around this area. Even my daughter is excited about it, she was asking ”You going to take me to school tomorrow right, right???”

I have always felt a part of the F150online family but I have to say this is one hell of a special feeling reading others saying ”Welcome Lightning brother” Thank you all very much and MAN I AM SO DAMN PUMPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't know the "right" way to break a new Lightning in. But I've broke-in both of mine the same way without any problems..........But both mine have been trouble free

Kept it out of boost for the first 100 miles, then hammered it. Just in case there was something wrong with the motor/trans that would show up.

Some might call this overkill, but I changed the oil/filter at 100, 500, and 1000 miles. Then did the oil/filer every 3000 miles. As the motor "seats" RINGS/BEARING/ETC you have metal floating around. Changing it youself, the cost is around 8/10 bucks. Cheap insurance I think. Then at 10,000 miles, I went to Mobil 1. Always use the Motorcraft 820S filter.

Other thoughts this morning......

Don't waste your money on the drop in filter.....

Buy stock in Goodyear

Watch out for the mod bug....it bites

I don't want to post my e-mail, but send me a e-mail thru my profile........I think I can help you out on something
