just got dynoed...

3 pulls for $75 great deal. Didn't get to meat Jack Roush but I got my truck on the dyno. My best pull was my first I think. 351 max horse and 442 max torque. I am happy with the torque but thought I'd have more hp... O well. Here's the numbers for now...
thanks, Shane

Shane did you get some A/F's? You do seem a little down especially since you have run what 12.7's@107? The track is what really matters..

Was that on a Dynojet? Didn't you trap at 106-107? Doesn't add up...

Either your truck weighs 4000 lbs., the dyno was a Mustang dyno or not correctly calibrated, or your track was downhill. I doubt it's the former or the latter....

AFs at all? Don't tell me Roush didn't even hookup a wideband to the dyno?

OK SORRY TO TROLL ON YOUR THREAD BUT...

I had my truck dyno'd and everyone said it wasn't right becuase the HP and torque should cross at 5200rpm's

WHY IS THAT?

can't you recaluculate the numbers to cross anywhere you want???

this one doens't cross at 5200

Shane,

Nobody is happier than Jack Roush that you didn't get to MEAT him!!!

JeffsLightning,

If you're referring to the graphs crossing at ~3350 rpm and not the standard 5252 rpm, it's because hp and torque are on different scales (there was no scaling forced on the axes).

Nope not that but how the HP drops and then picks back up in the upper rpm...not right Sort of like a roller coaster ride...

Something seems a little off. The highest I have trapped is 101 and mine dynoed at almost the same numbers as you... 355rwhp/440rwtq. My truck is stock.

Something is seriously wrong there. Your truck is dropping tons of power all of a sudden at 4600 rpms. It almost looks like you are either hitting a limiter, or your a/f is going whacky. Too bad you didn't get a/f readings, we could tell better what's going on.

As for the 5250 hp/tq thing, always look at the graph axis'. Most dynos autoscale, and if you notice, the scale up the side of the graph is not the same for hp and tq, which is why his don't cross at 5250.

Yeah that graphs wacky, but since the pulls look fairly consistent, it could be your truck. Your hp is diving at 46 when it should still be climbing, i think your truck looks like should be putting in about 380 hp at the rear. Hopefully the dynoes just wrong, or maybe the guy at the pedal got scared when he heard the s/c

There is no correction factor programmed in either. Something is wrong with the dyno run or program.

You have run 12's, and that takes way more than 351 HP.

Question dyno numbers

Shane

Something deffinatly isn`t right, if your truck is running mid 12`s like some are saying, then your making way more than 351 hp and 442 max tq, check my signature below for my dyno numbers and mods, when my truck was dyno`d I didn`t have the electric fan or cobra r water pump, so my numbers will be a little higher now, my truck will be dyno`d again in about 2 weeks, I will post the new numbers when I get done,

Larry.

thanks for all the replies... another thing I didnt mention was there was an almost stock lightning there it was an 01 (with a chip and filter) and he dynoed at 350/450 just like me. But i know I am making more power than him cause my pulleys... There is no way my tires were slipping on the dyno and his weren't? Why else will it read him stock+ chip but not me with chip, filter and pulley? I wish I had pics of the dyno. It was outside... (anyone else there? paul did you make it out there I thought I saw a lightning on it like yours) how did anyone else do if anyone else went there.
But what's up with that 01 with a chip dynoing at the same hp and torque as me?

I did run 12.64 back in April with the mods in my sig. The mile per hour was consistant at 107. I had only 4# lower, diablo chip and 80mm pro m. I also had ftvb and silver bullet. I ran a 12.7 on F1's and a the 12.64 on drag radials. Both 60 foot times were 1.89-1.90's. Any info on this I'd really appreciate it.... It was a portable dyno.
Not sure about the air fuel and all.. that is one of the reason's I got on the dyno so i could get back with my tuner with the results.... try another dyno hah? jeff get back to me on that will ya?
Currently I dynoed today with mods in my sig plus...
90mm mass air
single blade
2.80 upper

Anything else ya need let me know, anything else you can add, i really appreciate it. thanks, Shane
