Talking I got my truck back!!!!!!

Seven weeks to get it fixed. I'm still not happy with Ford but at least I have my truck back in my driveway. Ford did pay the bill! Man does it feel fast after driving a 3/4 ton GMC custom van for weeks.

Thanks,
Jerry

no flame intended, but, how could you not be happy with ford after they payed the bill? i know you had to go through a bunch of BS to get it done, but, they did what they were supposed to.

How would YOU like to be without your truck for 7 weeks? Having been though more than a couple ordeals with my truck, I totally sympathize. Even if everything 'turns out ok' in the end, you dont get compensated for the time you put in fighting for what should have been done in the first place.

Thanks for the support everyone.

What Nathan said!

The headers are still on and so are the underdrive pulleys (I paid the tech for any extra problems this caused him). This was more of a fight than you can imagine. If not for the good people at Leif Johnson Ford I would have been screwed by FoMoCo. Mark at SVT was also a great help. Also, it was NOT Wes, the FSE that screwed me around. It was someone high up at Ford Hot Line (whatever that is).

Knowing what I know now (that you can't be honest with Ford) I would cheat, lie, and commit fraud next time. If I had done that this time I would have been driving my truck for the last five weeks. There is no reason for them to put someone through this much crap.

The truck is still a blast to drive and even though I said I would NEVER buy another one.........I love the SOB! Mods.....what mods?

No matter what, if there is a problem, you lose. I have had my truck in for warranty "service" several times. I lose time from work, I lose the tax on the rental, I lose hair dealing with the hassles.

But Ford never promised me a perfect truck -- Ford only promised me that they would fix it if it broke. So even if Ford fixes my truck without objection, I still am worse off than if it had never happended. That's just life.

And the good thing that seems to be getting overlooked here is that the dealer stepped up and defended Jerry. Thumbs up to Leif Johnson Ford.
