"JE was sold out then bailed out
As you may,or may not know, one of our own BOLT brothers was sold out by a poser brother at FFW in Gainesville. JDM heard the news that ran through the pit area like wildfire. Jim went to bat for JE with track officials and used his influence to keep JE active in the event. Jim protected JE from the officials and offered his support to Ron,burning new chips and having Sean assist Ron in the pit.
Jim,I appreciate that you stood up for JE under such bad circumstances and helped him when he was alone.

Let me make sure I have this straight, that little rat ******* JR went to the officials and told them that JE's cage wasn't legal? And this is the cage that was put in by Race Related? Isn't Race Related owned or at the very least funded by JR? If it's true that JR ratted JE out than that's got to be one of the most chicken ***** things I've heard in a long time. Everyone knows JR is a lying little dumb ***** but that's the lowest of the low. What's even more stupid is that JR has now outed Race Related, a shop that he highly recommends and is part owner of, as a shop that doesn't do quality work. How much more work will Race Related be getting from the SVT guys now JR?
JR must have really been *****ting himself over the fact that JE was going to post times that would prove to everyone once and for all that JR wouldn't be able to touch him with the Cobra.
If this is true JR, it was a pretty chicken ***** thing to do an you are way more worthless than I ever thought.

As for which is faster JR's Cobra vs JE's Lightning well the numbers this weekend show that JR owes me a dinner. Even with Jim driving JR's Cobra a 11.80 beats a 11.97. Also a 12,000 without nitrous, beats JR's best of 12.4
Now for JR's ownership in Race Related... not at all. To hear JR tell it he owns half the business in Clearwater. I was told there isn't a restaurant in that town to eat in that he doesn't own a piece of. Spending money in a place doesn't constitute ownership. There have been a few times where JR has bartered much needed cash for services which James fulfilled his end of the bargain only to have JR place little value on those services requiring James to give him back most of the cash.
If JR ever gave you advice or a can of soda, in his mind he owns you, which coming from JR is harmless except if you start believing it and God knows why would you.
James has offered to make the roll bar right and he knows I want to run in Virginia at the end of the month and he'll have me ready. James is a great mechanic and engine builder not a roll bar fabricator, and he made a mistake which he said he'd correct. Lets see how he handles this before bashing him.
JR... enough can't be said and 99% not good. He earned the 1% by apologizing to me for causing me all this trouble. I just want to go on my way making my truck go as fast as I can and I hope JR knows enough not to stand in front or behind my truck with me behind the wheel.
Thanks, everyone for your support.

There are alot more illegal high dollar cages out there, so I am sure this is only the start.

Why is it always the guys that will never reach the need for a rule like this who get holier than thou about them.

I have to agree with JJ on this one. I supposed to have a cage and don't have one. When I have a cage installed it will be according to specs. The only reason why I will complain if I get kicked out of an event due to not having a cage is why others can run with unapproved axles and flexplates and no overflow tanks for the engine cooling system...

It's good to see that it's being worked out a fixed. Though I do have some misgivings about a vendor using his status to allow an illegally modified vehicle to run when it shouldn't. No offense to you, but have the shop fix it, then take it out for a run. New e/ts can always wait, but if there's an accident on the track, it's not worth having doubts in your equipment just to run the truck right then and there. Good luck!

The roll bar infraction was minor since it would be legal in a Mustang going a whole lot faster. A roll bar does not present a safety issue to others or put anyone but me at risk. A roll bar can in no way prevent accident from happening The way the roll bar was installed kept the truck street-able and did provide for my safety.
I would say running close to 400 hp down the track on F1's a bigger safety issue to all, but they have not one rule preventing that and I for one wish they did.

Thanks for clarifying, JE. It looked like they were letting you run into the 11s with a non-spec rollbar at first. I know that the driver would be the only person affected, but many of the rules were made to protect the drivers from themselves
I guess in this day and age where lawsuits abound, it would only take one fatal accident, then the spouse sues the track for letting the person run with illegal equipment.

You sign your life away once you enter the track to race. In addition I'm not aware of any law suites that occur if a race car blows up or goes into the crowd due to unforeseen problem or illegal equipment and causes death or injury.
