The Dynatech Long Tubes are $975

All the other stuff aside, am I the only one that thinks that a grand is an awful lot to pay for just a set of headers

Wait just a second, you...Sal Menella...a money grubbing...$$$ at all cost...tuner can state that two products are both quality???

Man, you're just killed off half the posts of this last month.

And yes, that is a real peeve with me fellow F150online brothers. Tuners get the absolute sh*t ripped out of them all the time by far too many posters (obviously not all, and sorry if I seem to be castigating too many), then when tuners say something nice, a black hole comes from out of nowhere and makes their nice gesture disappear.

Thank you Sal, Thank you JL and Thank you JDM for helping me make my Lightning the bad *** ricer eater that it is. And for those of you bashing vendors, I say try making the stuff yourself AND make it work on 99% of the people's truck you send it to AND ship it to them in 24 hours AND sell it to them at less than it costs to design, make and support.

If I sound pissed, I'm sorry, I am and I apologize to all others who respect the tuners who help us. The rest of you bashers, go buy a Hyundai

Douglas

I did read the thread . I don't no how familiar you are or how long you've been buying parts for cars but $1000 is alot to pay for just a set of headers. I only paid $1500 for my complete bassani system.

Hey Boys...

The title still says "senior member"

Plus, it's not how much you say or how often you say it (think Castro or Suddam Hussein) it's all in WHAT you have to say.

Thanks for the acknowledgement guys....

Now let's go kick those ricers.

Thats because Bassani is a SHORTY header set, not LONG TUBES.

The Lightning is a more specialty vehicle then something like a Mustang or Camaro, so prices are higher.

You think thats high? Check out header prices for VIPER headers, they go from something like this:

1996- 2000 1.75 in. Stainless Steel Tuned Headers HMSYS96 $4222.77

to

BORLA 1996-1997 Viper GTS $1394.95

....and that is just headers! Porsche headers go for that too... GHL RennList Headers $1420....

If you can't afford the damn truck, DON'T BUY IT.

Daniel

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you my dear little pawn (before making a statement like that you should have some clue about who you are talking to). The point I was trying to make (and this is regardless of who makes the headers) is that's alot of money for that type of part. I know the bassani system has shorty headers, but it also came with 2 cats, 2 mufflers, X-pipe and polished tips. As for the porsche and viper info , that is just crazy. I could get a built short block for the price of the viper headers alone.
