Any Help Please! Bad Story...
I dont know what Ford charges for a new motor. If you need to buy one yourself, you can go to www.razorsedgemotorsports.com and get a shortblock for $3500, it will be built to handle the mods you have so this wont happen again. I'm sure you can take the remaining good parts off your current motor and use them to finish the short block. Other tuners sell them as well, but I dont know their prices off hand.
If I were you I would just go to a dealership and see what happens, if they void your warranty, at least you will get your money back pro-rated on what left of the warranty and you can use that towards a new motor.

I understand there is no way to tell if there was a "bad batch".
Just curious, because I have a '00.

There was a pop up add at the Corral the other day that said Lightning long blocks for $2900.00. Personally I wouldn't use something like that if you were even thinking about nitrous or is it NOS or Nawwzz or whatever. I would by something a little stronger.
15lbs is not conservative on a stock motor, you are pushing the limits with the boost. If you get lucky and your motor is salvagable, you would want to replace the rods with stronger ones. Any of the tuners will supply you with them.
Here is an opton. Found it in the classifieds

I run 15 to 16lbs of boost without my juice and my engine is fine? Its Also a superior 99 motor (
) but the 01/02 motor should handle that also.
Also I doubt the boost has anything to do with it, I think mostof you guys are pushing your RPM's on these motors way to damn high for the stock rods! 5400 RPM shift points is the highest I would ever want to go with them, even with manely rods I would be nervous going that much higher.

Would the eaton bolt directly onto that motor? Do yo think that with a 6# and chip would be a pretty bullet proof setup?
