Don't know if you guys have seen this, but I absolutely hate it.
Looks like a Volvo or something.

It looks like an over- grown Syclone! I was looking forward to buying one, but not if they're as ugly as the new regular F-150. They have got good ideas on the mechanical part on the concept. If ford puts a 3 valve/ cylinder engine in the new Lightning, I won't be buying a new one for a long time. I would be embarrass to buy a $40,000 sport truck that is as ugly as the new Ford truck line-up. I hope a lot of people buy some of the new Lightnings so ford can eventually get it right.

I have read some data that said the engine would be a 4 valve head, same 5.4 low end, screw type supercharger, and 13.5" brembo 4 (or 6) piston caliper up front, replete with an IRS in the rear.
Total engine output will be 500 horses.
Will have to post that data later, as I don't have the link here at work.

If that's what the next L is gonna be then there will be one more someone can buy, 'cause I won't waste my money on something that ugly if it has 1000 hp. I'll get a Mustang again. As ulgy as an Aztec. Same nasty lines. Everybody has opinions and so do I. What blind guy designed that? I'll keep my 01. I like the smooth lines. That new one is one FAT again FAT as in big, portly, heavy looking creature.

I think what you read was an article on the engine for the concept truck you pasted the picture of. Although the real deal could be similar, concept vehicles are often times completely different than the production runs. It's highly unlikely that the 05 L will have close to 500 hp.
