POWER REAR SLIDER -- ATTENTION ELECTRICAL GURUs--HELP!
Hmm, that's an idea. Maybe I will try to confiscate this truck instead.

Can anyone offer any assistance on how to remove the sliding rear glass window?
I've removed the 12 9mm bolts however; the little sucker doesn't want to budge any whatsoever...
ANY help is greatly appreciated...

It's installed... pics to come after I get it all cleaned up...
Thanks for all the help...
The only thing I goofed on was mounting the switch. It's slightly crooked from the pedals switch but there's no way I can make it square and not have a 'hole' showing thus, it's just going to have to stay slightly crooked (kinda like my head)...

Liny,
Installation was actually pretty easy with the exception of getting the stock slider out. It's held in by 12 9mm bolts and the butyl sealant around the outside edges of the glass. Obviously, the bolts were no problem to remove however, cutting the butyl sealant such that the glass would budge was a MONSTER. I didn't think I was going to be able to remove it. Of the total installation time, I spent around 2 hours simply trying to remove the old one. I was scared to death that I was going to bend the frame of the glass or, even worse, break the glass.
Other than that, it wasn't too awful.
I'll post a few pics in the next reply...

Factory Switch (This is the same switch that is used to operate the power windows in a Ford Contour - I picked it up at the local junk yard cheap). Also, I'm a bonehead. The switch is slightly crooked but, not too bad. Nothing I can do at this point either. If I mess with it anymore, I'll have a small gap between the switch and the bottom of the hole that I had to cut in my dash thus, I'm just going to leave it alone. It's minimal.

Ford/CR Laurence Sticker (This glass was a Ford Original Part (F75Z-15422B30-AA) and not the CR Laurence 'kit' that comes with wiring/switches.
It's been nearly a year in the making since I started this thread... it finally all came together... What do you all think?
RP
Yeah yeah yeah... I know... I know... I know...
Actually, I've looked into replacing that piece of the dash already with the piece that is already 'pre-cut' for the slider.
As far as direction is conerened, it slides back to the passenger side.... I think.

Hey RP, let me know if you do that with the dash piece. I have tossed that around for awhile, but just haven't gotten the time to do the research on it. I would replace my current switch if I could get that dash piece.

Dufunnel, it worked like a charm. Not a problem one... I tried to dremel the old one out and correct it but, I just made the problem worse and, once I finally got it square, there was too big of a hole and it could be seen on both top and bottom of the switch... sorry, I really hoped I could've fixed it and sold you the one that I bought...
Oh well, it's fixed and to my liking now.

Dufunnel,
This is the thread I was pulling that part number from... like I said, I just grabbed one out of a wreck at the local junkyard thus, I'm not exactly sure what part number I have installed... all I can say is that it works and I love it. Having it illuminated makes such a huge difference.
