Painted interior in progress!

So Ive been working on this for a little while and still not finished. But im in the process of painting my interior. I sanded down the texture out of all the dash panels as I will do for the door panels and everything else that has texture to it. I scuffed up and primed pieces and wetsanded them smooth then did a few layers of gloss black and toreador red(closest thing to red fire met.) and wetsanded. Not Sure what color to paint the A-Pillar pieces. going to remove the airbag cover on the steering wheel and sand it down and paint it red as well.

Ideas are welcome!

Looks good! Makes me wish my truck was that color red. I like that, i have thought about doing it to my dash, but my truck is more of a true red and maybe a little to "bright" so to say for my interior likings.

I would do something with the clustor now. Even if it were to wash the dust haha. But I think that would look good with a different color scheme. But it looks amazing. Work on my truck next please?

Gotcha. I'm very interested in how the paint holds up. I painted some exterior pieces, cleared some of it as a test... the paint on the pieces that did not get a clear coat has started peeling and flaking away. It might not be as bad for the interior though.

haha I know I need to detail it and clean it up on the inside of my truck right now. I might look into getting a red metallic US speedo background for it. Thanks, haha its not to hard to do. I bought a orbital palm sander and sanded all the texture out of all the pieces as far down as I could, primed, and wetsanded them smooth then just took my time painting and wetsanding. Biggest problem I have is tiger stripes which I had to keep wetsanding down and reshooting a few times. But thats only happened on a few pieces which is fixed.

A-pillar handles and door panels are next!

I think it will hold up good, I sanded down and painted my grill surround back two years ago with krylon black gloss and it hasnt chipped or flaked at all without clear coat!

yea the clear is very tricky, if its not just right it'll make the paint look rough & hazy

Looks great. You should paint the upper part of your bumper red to match the truck now but keep the lower part black. My opinion tho. Either way it looks good. And you definitly dont see to many of the newer trucks with manual trans in em
