Interior Paint Help Numbers

Looking for Ford Spray Lacquer paint.. Searched Previous posts and got a part number but cant seem to find anything at all. That post was about 6 months ago. SCIGS30 is the one who ordered it and got part number. I did email ford parts but has anyone else bought paint from ford or where do you get you paint for the interior.

Looking for dark shadow grey for some of the interior pieces.

I know I can go with colorscratch.com but not looking to pay 30 a can until I have run out of options.

Paint numbers

brentswanton,

Here are the numbers you are looking for:

Med Graphite - M4JZ-19M547-4245H - $ 12.99
Dark Graphite - M4JZ 19M547-4253H - $ 12.99

I got them at http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com/

Torrie is a great guy to deal with. I used it on part of my expy
console and the match was perfect with no shine at all.

UH O,

Is that a spray can of interior paint? If so, that's a helluva lot cheaper than going through www.paintscratch.com... plus, like you mentioned, dealing with Torrie is a JOY... I don't think I've ever had better customer service!

RP,

It is a Ford spray paint that comes in a can, I believe it is a laquer made for the interior. The stuff is awesome in the color match.

I don't suppose that you have the part number for the Medium Parchment (tan) interior paint do you?

That would probably be handy to have sitting around the house... just in case...

Thanks man!

Order

You can go to this link and order. Torrie will send you a confirmation email when it starts to process.

http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com/store/main.html

Keep in mind there is also shipping charges. You can go to the site and send him an email with the part numbers and your zip code. He will email you the shipping charges. It cost me $7.00 for both cans to be shipped. I think they have a standard charge for shipping but don't quote me on that.

sent email to ford parts network but they said you must purchase through dealer now.. I ended up getting duplicolor graphite and painted some interior pieces with that. Came out really good I think. Removed all the fake wood grain veneer to do this. That stuff really sticks well. It took all day to remove the veneer and sand the pieces.

Hey, guys, are you using this paint to modify or to make new panels match your interior? Also, what kind of prep work would be involved? Is this the paint that Ford uses to paint the dash pieces at the factory, since most of them are black plastic?

I've been thinking about buying a tan center console (since they're usually cheaper and more abundant), and painting it to match. This could just be the way, huh?

Yup closer that is correct.

I got a tan rear cover to replace the ugly one with vents that I had. I sanded lightly with 400 grit and then used pumice hand cleaner with some steel wool to get it really clean and dull. Used about 2 coats of the Ford paint and it was done. Perfect match

SAWEEET!!!

The clearcoat really looks great. Did it stay that wet looking after it dried? I am looking forward to seeing pics after you get the install completed.
