Suggestion on projector bulbs
Suggestion on projector bulbs
I just ordered a set of black Halo LED Projector headlights. They come with a pair of H1 and H3 halogen bulbs. I want to get a set of bulbs that have a 6000k hue and brightness w/o getting HIDs. Anybody have any suggestions?
Your not going to get much better, even those aftermarket chinese projectors with the bulbs they come with will most likely have less output than your stock headlights considering the H3 bulb is mainly used for fog lights, not head lights.
If that's the case, I might be better off getting some Silver Star Ultras.

So what about the SilverStar zXe bulbs? They claim to have a whiter light and still be fairly bright though maybe not as bright as the Ultras. Bottom line is I want to get a bulb that looks good, but will still light up the road.
Interesting point about the bulbs... I'll have to look into that when I get them tomorrow. Hell, I'll just call the store I bought them from and see what's up.

Basically overpowered Silverstar Ultras....Sylvania is trying to tap into the "high schooler" market with trickery. They will barely last a year and maybe will lose 40% of their luminous output within 5 months
Ah I see. I guess I'll have to look around some more then.
My headlights came in yesterday and I installed them this morning. The halos and LEDs look pretty awesome and the bulbs that came with the housing are actually pretty bright. I tested them in my garage and today was gloomy so it was a pretty dark outside and in the garage. The real test will be tonight while I'm on my way home from work.
