What about if I stick a v-led switchback in there?

What mSall means is that at night what makes turn signals so effective is the mirrored reflection of light which lets its presence be shown amongst the light of the projector/low beams

Hope that made sense...

I would go black housing with a white shroud. It will match better like your side mirrors and fogs are.
I would also leave the turn signal chrome but add a projector glass lens only in front of it. For paint lightly sand and use a plastic primer or plastic paint.
Nice truck BTW!

Thanks Powerz! Where would I find a lens to fit the turn bucket?

Depends how big the turn signal bowl is 2.5, or 3inch.

You can also save $20 by getting the value option= minior defect.
It would look like the ones in the video but without the halo. I never did this but if I ever do my lights again I will for sure. I'm also not to sure how you would mount them, some RTV maybe.

.

Thanks Powerz. Getting a different shroud then the GG. Couldn't get it to fit the fx-r, ended up ruining one. Thinking of going with the apollo shrouds 2.0.

Yea I think I've decided on black housing, white shroud and white reflector.

Yes go with the apollo shrouds 2.0. You might have to make a spacer, not sure if the apollo 2 are deep enough to cover right to the bowl.

Yea really like the GG but they are a pain to get to fit. I'm going to try and make the other one work but I'll probably end up with the Apollo 2.0's.

Ok Powerz, what do you think of this? I asked Matt at TRS today about the lens for the turn signal and here's what he suggested. Ok our turn signal bucket is about 4.5 inches from side to side give or take. Now Matt suggested the front halve of a mini h1 projector (which is 3.14 inches) to give the illusion of a projector but it's really just a dummy. Now with this I can slap a shroud on there. Well the only one I think will fit is the mini GG ( which is 3.6 inches). Sorry my measurements are width. Now do you guys think it's possible to make this work? I would love the look of two projectors and staggering these shrouds. Although I would want the regular GG on my fx-r now and I'm back to trying to make that work on these fx-r's. What do y'all think? Anyone else please chime in as well.

The issue with sticking a shroud on the turn signal reflector is you will have to shave almost the whole shroud away and just use the very front of it. If it sticks up at all, it may not fit, and nobody to the side of you will be able to see the turn signal when it is flashing. It is definitely possible, but just know you need to cut away almost the whole thing.

Yea I figured I was going to have to cut quite a bit of the back off. I think I'm going to try it and see if I can make it work. My only issue now is getting these GG to fit the fx-r's. I would like to keep these uniform if possible. May pay somebody to just trim these damn things.

I agree with msall, I wouldn't do the shroud.
Did YOU measure the signal bowl?
I'm starting to think if housing is painted black, drop a 3" projector lens in the signal bowl align and go around the outside with black RTV. Or trace around the lens then paint that part of bowl black then do the black RTV.
