On a related note, you could make that little 194 side marker flash by tying into the turn signal wire.

Powerz, yeah I did measure it. It would be a very tight fit. I also measure for just a lens and the bucket from outside to outside was about 4 1/8 in. Would need a lens relatively close that size to fit.

Raptor, I like that idea. Would definitely solve the issue of people from the side. What do you think about the idea of a mini h1 front halve with a shroud in the turn bucket?

So I found some time tonight to work on my retro. I managed to get the GG shroud to fit the fx-r. Only problem I have is th fx-r are oval and its causing the shroud to take that shape. I can not do anymore trimming on the inside of the shroud without going through the plastic. It doesn't look bad when it's in the headlight.

OP, do whatever you want- its your truck. If you really like it, then go for it. I'm not up to speed on the 11th gens so I'm not all fulfilled on whats needed for lens and shroud clearance, etc.

Send an email to, or call Brain at sickhids and ask him if he will disclose his secret on how he did it. As far as I know his retros are the only ones to have them.

So I swapped out the GG shrouds for the Apollo 2.0's and it's a night a day difference fitment wise. No trimming whatsoever, might just need to make an extension.

I would trim it a bit so you can slide it down to be more flush with the lens.

Yea if you look at the 2nd pic at the very top of the projector. There is a small square on the inside of the shroud, there's 4 going around that's keeping it from sliding down. I think I just need to knock those out and it should be good.

Did some trimming and the shrouds sit lower on the projector now, thanks for that mSall. Forgot to take pictures of the finished mock up. Got a few painted pics.

So I got my matchbox projectors in this morning and was messing around with the front halve and turn signal bucket. Please pay no mind to the jacked up headlight lol. Obviously in the picture the micro GG shroud would need to be trimmed down to sit more flush. Again I bought these projectors for my fogs but it was an idea.

Thanks 88, I'm having everything professionally painted next weekend. I'm putting way to much money into this project for me to ruin it with rattle can (I'm a terrible painter lol).
