HID bulbs
HID bulbs
I just bought some 9007/ HB5 12V 100W HID bulbs on Ebay for cheap and I am wondering if I made a mistake. I usually try to research things pretty well before I buy, but these were an impulse buy, so don't flame me too hard.
Did I make a mistake? Will these melt my lenses? I haven't put them in yet, and won't if the sage advise of this forum board advises against it.
Thanks for your help.

Edited because my spelling is as poor as my headlight purchasing.

Same here. If they are halogens, the 100W will probably get things too hot. If they are HIDs, your truck might go up in flames.

Atleast I didn't pay much at all (should have been the first clue)

Those bulbs suck! We recently bought a 2001 Super Duty for work and the PO put them in and I don't see how he could drive the truck at night.
Take the advice and go with the retro fit system.
