Rocker Switch Install

https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...sole-tray.html
This is the best place I found to mount my rocker switches, Easy access for wiring and Clean look.
I installed the rocker switches in the center console tray Forward of shift lever.

i like finding a panel that is cheap to replace. on my 04 heritage i installed 2 rockers for my aftermarket tach, one red, one blue. red was to power the tach, blue was for the backlight for the tach. i cut out 2 holes out of both of the fuse box covers above the parking brake. by both i mean the outer gray one and the inner black one. cheap and easy to find and replace. on the 08 you pry off the panel, unplug 2 plugs, and drill out the wholes. then wire it up and put everything back on. takes like a half hour tops.

Detailed Info

Sorry for the Weak A** Post, I could not get the pics to post correctly, and got frustrated.
The Center console will pop off very easily, just lift with you fingers on the rear side by the arm rest and the whole piece (from the arm rest all the way forward to the tray is one piece) will lift up, put gear shifter in Drive for extra clearance and it will come out easy.
There is a TON of room underneath for wires, etc..
I also removed my kick panels on each side to make running the wires easier but as you will see there is a lot of room and the Rocker switches look like a Factory install....

These are my favorite switches:

They look modern and contemporary and can match any vehicle just about, with smooth rolling to on or off with tectured feel, different colored lights, and clean text. So far the cheapest I could find is about $15 each.

they use a lot of them in RV's most any Motor Home dealership should have them in stock. all of those on that link were SPST We also get them in DPST DPDT and momentary. For work lights on my old truck I used DPDT switches one in the cab the other in the topper was nice could turn them on inside and off outside or vise versa.
