This is ford4life's retrofit in his Visteon housings

The lines are an earlier version of "squirrel spotters". They are designed to refract a little bit of light vertical to light up road signs and animal eyes. While only one line crosses through the projector beam, it wont bother the beam pattern.
Nope I wasn't revering to those horizontal lines....from the op's pics I wasn't able to deferentiate his heads due to the glare and low res pics.....they distorted when I zoomed in and became grainy.....so I thought they might have been a clearer lense form of the head of a stock housing ftom a 97-03....more like a Harley head than a lightning..I'll move on now......

Yeah there have only been four headlights come from Visteon, the popular fluted lens style, the STX/KR heads, Lightning heads, and Harley heads.

35W 5000K? Vs. 55W 4300K?

Comments? Concerns? Better?

And I like Ford4Life's PTM housings...Thinking about doing that possibly, White obviously, unless yall think the Tan may look better/different since I have that 2 tone paint job?

55W will be about 15-20% brighter. They will also have more color wash (55W 5000K will be yellower than 35W 5000K). Bulb life is reduced by a couple hundred hours, and they produce more heat (not an issue for large housings). IMHO, you should go with 5000K, it matches the white paint perfectly.

If you decide on PTM, I think white would look better. You could also disassemble the projectors and paint the cutoff shield for added effect (see below)

5000K drivers side, 4300K pax side

Now keep in mind your headlights are made top-quality. So they use whats called PermaSeal. It is a pain in the butt to open.

Cool, the 5000K does look good and would flow with the truck.

White PTM is what I was thinking, just thought I'd ask about the tan.

How hard is it to paint the cutoff shield? I'm wondering now if I'd need to paint the shrouds to match it if leaving them chrome would be fine...

I really appreciate all the help guys!

For places that will do it, expect $150-200 for labor. Some self-proclaimed professionals will do it for about $100. Honestly, its not that hard. You just have to be patient.

Everywhere I've heard or heard people talk about says places that do it charge like $400 or more for labor...where have you heard that will do it for that low?

I would...but I'm not too mechanically inclined so I don't wanna mess anything up. However my Grandpa or a family friend MIGHT be able too. But still, know any places?
