I have not heard that but it's been three years since I switched from my F150 to my F350. But I have a hard time believing that Hella would put out a crappy product with there reputaion and who they supply in the automotive industry (BMW, Audi and a few others). Do not buy the Eagle Eye lights off E-Bay, the leses started to fog after a year and the lenses started to delaminate this spring so I finall had enough and put the stock chrome ones back in.

They've got a little projector lens in front, but I doubt it does anything to help with the beam spread.

I have hids and would like some lights like that. But I hate projector headlights. Those are close to looking somewhat stock and i think they look good compared to most. I hate retrofits aswell cause they give you that crossed eye look. O well :P
