Is this a flasher for a 2011 F150?

Is this a flasher for a 2011 F150?

I know that the flasher on the new models is supposed to be built in to the computer but is this the flasher?

I am wondering cause I just ordered all my leds to replace all the lights outside the truck.Sorry if this is the wrong thing but I am just worried about putting resistors on the turn signals.And do the resistors stay hot the whole time the light is on or just while they flash?Thanks for any input.

i cant speak on behalf of the flasher, but i know resistors will only get hot while the bulb is flashing. if you put one on your 3rd brake light to solve any cruise control problems you might have, it will only get hot while the brakes are applied.

if you do use resistors, just make sure all your connections are good and make sure nothing will come in contact with it and mount it to metal, or buy a heat resistant mounting plate.

If the 2011 is the same in this area to the 09-10 MY, there is no external flasher.

The 09-10 MY are a function of the SJB ( Smart Junction Box ) to make the turn signals flash or the brakes on ( or a combo of both ) by turning the FET on and off by the logic control in the SJB.

Not 100% sure if Ford changed this or not in the 2011 MY, so this info is to be considered with a grain of salt.

I just replaced the front turn/park lights on my 2010 and I didnt need to use any resistors at all. I used these from V-LED (http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/T...-p7472045.html) and they work as normal. No Hyper flashing and they look awesome.

I'm curious how that is when they only draw about 400 milliamps, that should trigger the hyper flash

I am not sure myself Raptor....I even ordered the resistors because everthing I read on here was stating that there were in fact no flashers to change and that resistors were required. So I recieved my LED's yesterday and for ****s and giggles tried the LED's without the Flashers and Voila...works like a dream. When I take the LED out of the socket (to simulate a burned out buld) there is the Hyper flash. Dont know what to tell ya....other than on my truck they work great. (thanks for all the info in the other posts on lights and flashers, sure helped out big time)

hm. maybe they added resistors inside the socket.
