HVAC 2008 F150 Super Crew

My truck has 4200 miles on it and now the air keeps going cool to warm. The dealer tells me Ford is working on the problem, to leave it alone until they have the fix, and just lower the setting. This is not acceptable.

Do you have a automatic climate control or manual?

I have a 2008 F150 Lariat and have auto temp control. I have nothing but hot air and always coming from the vents. Only way to get A/C is to turn it to 60 degrees. Made three trips to the dealer and finally on the third trip they acknowledged that something was wrong. They told me that there was an OASIS bulletin on it. This was the beginning of September and they said engineering was working on it and that parts are due mid-October. Mid-October has come and gone and I checked with them today and they say that they have not received any parts yet.
I informed them that it is starting to get cold around here and that I can only regulate the heat by turning it on and when it gets to warm I either have to turn it off or go to max A/C.

I was informed that this problem also affects Lincolns and some Expeditions. I guess I am the auto temp control.

Tired Of Roasting

Hi All this first post my 2008 F150 Lariet Super Crew is way too hot. The ATC do not work worth a dam. You set the control for 68 and it's got to be 80. Any word on how to fix this yet?????? ATC has only been around for 25 years or at least you would think Ford would have perfected it!!!!!! I am an HVAC tech by trade anyone have any self help ideas?

Thanks

Tim

F150 Lariat

Got a call from the Dealer, Bay Harbor Ford, Englewood, Fl.. States Ford will have the new Climate Control Head in two weeks. It is redesigned and produced by an outside vendor and after producing approx. 300, Ford will test it and if it works it will be sent to the Dealers who have requested the part. It is not a recall yet. Why, I do not know. If this part is not available by the 1st of December, I am going to Lemon Law the truck!!

ATC Woes

Went to the dealer on Friday, due to not having any heat. After letting the truck run in the building for about 15 minutes, I was told that the heat was working. I told them that once it got up to operating temperature it still wasn't blowing any heat as a matter of fact it was blowing cold air.

They told me it was a blend door problem and that parts should be in now mid-november.

I guess I have to wait, still don't think it is a blend door problem.

Having very similar problems with new F150 Lariat Supercrew..Have to toggle between 60 and 65 degrees to get cool air. Took truck to dealership 1, was told about a service bulletin sent to them by ford indicating a fix would be out in late November. Took truck to dealership 2. They indicated they found the problem..replaced the O rings and recharged the system....On my way home, the AC was doing the same thing....at 69-73 blowing hot air....This is terrible for a new truck with 4,000 miles...Help!!!

I have the same truck and I notice anything on auto set over 65 degrees = hot (and 60 to 65 is just one click) air so I suppose I am in the same boat.
And I had a friend that told/begged me not to buy a ford cause his 07 Expy a/c has put him in lemon law court!

My truck has 700 miles...three weeks old tomorrow.

Hey guys,

Check the other threads...this is a common problem. It sounds like Ford is getting ready to ship out new blend door actuators to fix it. There is a TSB for this issue. I'm hoping my dealer gets them soon. At least you can get A/C if you set the temp to 60 degrees.

Problem fixed

The dealer finally fixed my HVAC problem after three trips they finally replaced the actuator for the air blending door and I can now ride in my truck without my speedo in the winter time. Tim
