Heater Selector switch

In my 2004 f150, it doesn't matter what selection I have it on my heater blows out the vents. Is this a simple fix in the selector switch or does it go deeper?

Specifically, which vents?

No, not a broken ****. It turns on and off like it should. It's just when I turn from defrost, floor, vents, etc. it only blows out the front vents. However it turns on and off. It is just stuck on dash vents.

Not what I thought at first

After messing with it more, I realized that after about 30 seconds it will change to the different settings. Then it will change like normal ( defrost to floor, floor to defrost and so forth) but as soon as I go to vent it takes about 30 seconds to change to the other settings or I have to turn it off for a few and then back on. Does this sound like a vacuum leak, or would that make it stay at defrost?

same problem, ford diagnosed it as an actuator problem #19E616. $190 later didn't fix the problem.i find when i run the AC on vents then try to switch to defrost it won't switch, not without screwing with it for 5 minutes. think it's vacuum related cause if you try the defrost after you've turned off the motor it makes a grinding noise then switches right away. going back to ford in a couple of days, not paying for the actuator if that isn't the problem! i lived with this problem for 3 years enough is enough.

our series of trucks don't run on vacuum. so your looking at above part or blend door assy. almost a couple bills for part and 7 hours. stealership $190 for actuator $918 for blend door assembly.
