Ford HVAC controls STILL suck
Look, I picked my 06 F150 over all the other makes, after owning a 99 F150, so I'm a Ford dude.
Still, the HVAC controls stink. This is one place where they should copy Toyota.
They're improved, now, as I have a separate recirculate button and a/c button. However, a setting I often use in toyotas, particularly in the winter, is to turn the heat up, with the outside air vented, but with no fan. That lets warm air "bleed" into the car as you're moving.
That's not possible with the F150 controls. You either have the outside air off, or the fan is running.
The old Toyota control system is superior--if not idiot proof.
You had an A/C button, a Recirc Button, a fan speed, and airflow controls. If you want to put air to the windshield without the A/C, that is your choice, for example.

They are better than the last F150 I had (1990 reg cab Lariat 4.9L). No matter where you set the dang thing it was not right!
